Excellent availability for large families. Pepperdelle Bolognese was delicious. Alfredo with chicken was underwhelming, with the sauce very buttery and lacking (much) cream. Ravioli & Chicken Parmesan received good reviews. Salads were delicious, as was the bread. Recommend you offer type of noodle as an option, including gluten free options. The guitar player did not add to the atmosphere. The music was too loud for such an intimate restaurant. Might have been better tolerated if he played the Italian music.

Our Server’s name was Beth and she was friendly and attentive. I ordered Chicken Marsala and Limoncello cake and both were equally delicious. The establishment was quaint, clean, and homey. I will definitely be back if ever in the area!

Bread was awesome, mozzarella sticks were very good. Gnocchi was badly overcooked where they were basically mush. Chicken Ciara was a bit bland but overall good. Fettuccini is different from any fettuccini I’ve ever had. More like a brown butter sauce in my opinion. It was good not great. House salad (no picture) was a basic salad but ranch was very good. Staff was slow and food was ok.

I wasn’t going to leave a review, as it’s been 3 weeks since this happened, but I am still bothered by the way the owner acted in front of everyone, so I am leaving one now. I am being generous with the 3 stars, although the food was “OK” and the service wasn’t terrible. That said, the owner’s own actions warrant a much lower rating.
I made a reservation on 12/8 for 12/26 (for my birthday). I messaged the restaurant through Facebook (they were not open yet when I did this, so I went this route so I would not forget to make the reservation) to ensure they would be open that day, as they were not the year prior. I confirmed they would be open (with the owner), and I then made a reservation, which she confirmed for 6PM on 12/26.
My husband, daughter and I arrived a little early, as I thought they might be busy on a Friday night, especially given it was the day after Christmas, but fortunately it wasn’t that busy at all. We walked in and I stated we had a reservation, but the hostess (who also ended up being our server) said we did not have a reservation. She asked for the last name, looked at a piece of paper, and said she didn’t have my name down, but we could still be seated. This really bothered me because it was the owner herself who took my information. So had they actually been busy, we would not have been seated at the time of our “reservation”.
Anyway, I responded to the message the owner had sent me via Facebook Messenger back on 12/8 (just in case the reservation actually did exist, although the hostess/server stated we did NOT have one) so she would know we DID show up (I didn’t want the restaurant to think I wasted their time by making a reservation and then not showing up – I personally think this looks bad). I said, “So we showed up, but there was NO reservation. Fortunately you aren’t too busy, so we did get a seat, but that is still a little disappointing.”
Next thing I know the owner herself is at our table making a scene. She had a notebook with hand-written info in it. She said, are you… (and stated our last name loud enough for that half of the restaurant to hear), then she pointed at our name in her notebook and said we DID have a reservation – she took it herself and wrote it in the notebook. She did not apologize for not passing it along to the front staff – she just wanted to prove she was right by making a scene. She was very loud and it was rather embarrassing. And for all I know, she could have just written our name in her notebook before coming to our table – she had no proof as to when it was written in there. We just sat there a bit stunned, because we felt like we were being reprimanded for something we did wrong, when it was the restaurant who could not efficiently pass along the reservation list. We should have gotten up and left right then and there, but we didn’t. We didn’t want to stoop to her level.

Classic Italian restaurant. Fast and friendly service. Locally owned by a wonderful woman. This place is perfect for a quiet date night for a couple at any age. I highly recommend the veal parmasan and fried ravioli. The marinara is well seasoned and made fresh. If you love real homemade Italian food but don’t feel like cooking it all day yourself, go to Amichi’s. You won’t be disappointed.

Honestly, I have no idea how this place has so many good reviews. We just left and hardly ate any food. From the moment walking in the floor is sticky (sign number 1).
I ordered carbonara. (It was basically soup with uncooked bacon. I only had one bite)
My husband ordered the fettuccini Alfredo with shrimp. (This was actually good. My daughter and I ate his meal)
My daughter ordered the butter noodles with meatball. (The meatball tasted like dogfood)
I was extremely disappointed. Not to mention the waitress could clearly see I did not eat my food as I put all the uncooked bacon on top. She never asked if I wanted to switch it out and she charged us for it.
We were charged 70$ for this meal (no alcohol or special drinks ordered). The prices charged did not match the prices on the menu.
I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. We left and got burgers.

My husband and I visited Amici’s on a Friday evening. We had to park next door because the parking lot was full. We arrived 20 minutes early for our 6:45 reservation and although it was very busy we were seated immediately. Our server was friendly and attentive. Our appetizers arrived quickly and was delicious. The owner Jennifer came around to check on us while we were waiting for our main course. That’s something you don’t get at a chain restaurant. My husband got the lasagna that he almost couldn’t finish which is rare. I got the spaghetti pescatori. The mussels were fresh and the shrimp were huge. Even though my meal was seafood it did not smell or taste “seafoody”. Everything was very fresh and tasted like authentic Italian cuisine. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary so are waitress gave us 2 lemon drop shots and a piece of carrot cake to share on the house! She also put a card with the bill wishing us a happy anniversary! Jennifer the owner came around for the second time to make sure we were satisfied with our meal and she also wished us a happy anniversary. This place is a hidden gem of North Charleston! My entire experience here was 5 stars! Thank you Amici’s for making our anniversary so special!

I was excited to try this place as having heard so much about it and knowing it was family ran. Sadly the food wasn’t great. The sweet tea tasted a little bit old. The house salads had frozen wilted iceberg lettuce, but the ranch dressing was good. The chicken parmesan was bland and my husband, who loves lasagna, said his was just “mid” and not much better than store-bought frozen ones. My friend said their pasta tasted like it was a frozen sauce heated up, and it did look rather watery to me. The lemon cake was good, my tirimisu was okay but really soggy/wet and not as slightly firm and formed (almost pudding like instead of cake like) as most others I’ve had. We really were hoping it would be amazing but were let down.

Jennifer greeted the four of us with an enthusiastic smile. This was our first time at Amici’s and coming in we could tell this was going to be a great experience. Very nice pictures on the walls, quaint decor. We were serenaded by a lady with an awesome voice, not too loud, not too soft…… just right! We were then greeted by “Fred-
David” (real name David) and his sense of humor was very contagious. We joked with him, and he us. A real joy. The appetizers were perfect, the main course was delicious. We all enjoyed the meal and ordered deserts to go. We will be back!!
