The food tasted excellent, one of the best meals I have ever had. Out party ordered lunch and breakfast, and both were outstanding. I would highly recommend the faccacia bread, it was really authentic. The food was fresh and tasty and definitely made from scratch – my mom said the banana bread tasted as good as her own homemade. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. They easily accommodated my mom in her wheelchair. I would definitely recommend stopping by if your in the area.

Incredible food and fantastic service. All local fares on the menu. We were out of towners. Highly recommend this place. The breakfast smash burger was the bomb! Many vegan options as well. The staff sets this place over the top!

This place is a hidden gem within Elk Rapids! I came here for brunch with the family and was pleasantly surprised all around. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with friendly staff who make you feel right at home. The breakfast menu is packed with delicious options, but I highly recommend the chorizo scramble. It’s the perfect balance of spicy and savory, with the Jalapeños adding just the right amount of kick without overwhelming the dish. Every bite is full of flavor, and it’s clear they take pride in their ingredients.
To top it off, don’t miss the beignets! They’re served hot and fresh with a homemade custard. We could have filled up on these, they were so good! Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this diner is definitely worth a visit. I can’t wait to come back!

I had the best cafe experience here! Amazing coffee and food, the staff was warm and welcoming, I was treated like family! We got the Ames St Benedict and the Manny Melt. Both delicious options. Their coffee was perfect. We also tried the cinnamon focaccia and their chocolate chip cookie – YUM!!!! I will definitely be back anytime I am near the area!

Charming little eatery in Elk Rapids! My kale salad (yes…kale!) was delicious – homemade dressing – as was my cup of French onion soup. Adorable environs, top-notch staff. Well done all!

This place is a nice and cozy spot to grab breakfast, lunch, or brunch. If you have a group larger than four, be prepared to wait! The dining area is very small and there is one table large enough for more than 4 folks. The patio was closed on our visit as well, so there were less tables than a typical day. The food didn’t take too long to get out to our table and all of our orders were made correctly. We really enjoyed our breakfast and hope to be back soon!

This place was fantastic. A friend and I stopped here for a quick breakfast before exploring the coast. It did not disappoint! We shared the breakfast poutine and the breakfast sammich on homemade focaccia. Wow, the flavor was insane! The poutine had a nice kick from the chorizo and the gravy was exactly how it should be. The homemade bread was so delicious, I almost ordered another sandwich to go! If you’re in the area, check it out!

The best! Locally sourced delicious home cooked food. This place is a cozy gem. Walking into this cafe feels like you are walking into Cheers, where everybody knows your name, and they’re always glad you came. 🙂

A perfect up north stable. We came to Elk Rapids for a weekend away. Kristin greeted us at the door and even remembered us when we came back a second time. I got the Ames special both times we came the eggs were perfectly cooked and the kale salad is a must! I loved that used a bunch of random coffee cups, we grabbed two cookies to go and the were the perfect dessert. A little bit of a wait but worth it! We will definitely visit again when we’re in town
