For those of you who’ve never been let me just tell you; this ain’t no Starbucks. Don’t expect to post up with your laptop for 2 hours. Inside is comfortable standing room only for about six people. On this day, there were at least twelve of us inside shuffling around, politely trying to gauge the allotted personal space while trying to figure out where the line started. Once inside, order your beverage, tell them what type of ammunition you need, then GTF out. Wait! What type of ammo? Yes as in for your gun. They actually sell bullets there as well. I initially thought “Ammo” in the name was just hyperbole for strong coffee. I don’t pack heat but the wife does. Both of us however were a bit taken aback when we realized what the stacks of small boxes were.
Today was 113 scorching degrees outside. I appropriately ordered an iced Americano. My drink was crisp, smooth and robust. I’m somewhat of a coffee snob. I spend a lot of time in Miami where coffee is a science and religion. I’ll still visit a Starbucks from time to time, but there’s corporate coffee joints popping up all over that I just can’t be bothered with. On a typical day, I grind my own beans and French press my own coffee. However the days when I’m out and about, Americano Ammunition Coffee is where you’ll find me. I look forward to trying a pound of their whole beans. Last thing: There’s a small shaded seating area outside for those who’d like to linger a tad longer. This is a cool spot.
The menu isn’t over complicated. Their coffee is so smooth I drank 2 smalls and a large just try to them out. The workers and owners were awesome to speak with. While you’re there you can load up on some ammo for your 2A.
If you don’t get a chance to be there for their fist open, you must attend their grand opening on 10/29/22. Support a local business that cares about the people.
I only gave it 4 stars because the hours of operation. I truly wish this place was open longer on Saturdays or at least Sunday mornings! Now that San Tan Valley and Queen Creek just continue to grow, I hope to see a change in their hours soon!
Great location, easy to get to. Little building where you can go in for your order. They also have a drive thru which was busy!
Service was very friendly! I ordered a medium Irish Cream breve iced. Delicious! We purchased a bag of coffee which I’m very excited to try and a t-shirt for my husband. They also have a good selection of ammo! They have cookies and pastries which looked yummy.
We love supporting local small businesses and we are so impressed with Americano Ammunition Coffee! Planning on making it my go-to place when out for coffee. Love what you stand for!
Walking into this shop is like walking into the hometown place you’ve been visiting all of your life. You will immediately feel welcome by the very best people!
The coffee is delicious with a really smooth taste. It’s like nothing I’ve had before! Grab one for now and a bag or two to brew!
Don’t miss out on this one of a kind gem!
They put the “American” in Americano ☕️
So I tried again, this time I did the drive through at a quiet time of day .. 2 cars in front of me yet I WAITED 25 MINUTES to actually get the coffee. It was lukewarm, not hot, it was so sweet that when I got to the office I had to weaken it and put it in the microwave to actually make it a hot coffee. It ran more expensive than other sized coffees and I won’t be back and I wouldn’t recommend it either ( $20 for a small bag of coffee is way over priced too!)
