Ordered the Island Jerk Cheeseburger and the Lamb Gyro Platter and everything was amazing. The burger was the juiciest I’ve ever had with bold, perfectly balanced jerk flavor. The lamb gyro was tender and flavorful, and the rice was cooked perfectly with great seasoning.

I tried the Classic Crave Cheeseburger, Bacon Jam and Cheese, Chk’n Cheesesteak, and Lamb Rice Bowl, and every single item blew me away. The burger was very juicy, flavorful, and perfectly melted together with that classic American street-food taste. It’s the kind of burger that makes you stop mid-bite just to appreciate it. The Bacon Jam & Cheese Smashburger at American Street Crave is next-level! Perfectly smashed, juicy, and packed with flavor — that sweet and savory bacon jam ties it all together. Every bite hits just right. Hands down one of the best burgers in DC!
The Chk’n Cheesesteak was packed with tender, seasoned chicken and the perfect amount of cheese, rich, savory, and just messy enough in the best way possible. And the Lamb Rice Bowl? Absolutely delicious. The lamb was tender, perfectly spiced, and paired so well with the rice and their signature sauce. Every bite had that comfort food satisfaction but with a gourmet touch.
The owners are a wonderful husband-and-wife duo who pour their heart and soul into every dish. You can feel their passion for great food and community the moment you walk in. It’s more than just a restaurant; it’s their dream brought to life.

I kept seeing this place on my way to work and decided to try them. I checked their menu out online and saw a Hawaiian burger and many flavor wings, plus a bunch of other things that sounded delicious.
I ended up ordering the Hawaiian burger and 6 piece hot honey old bay wings, I didn’t want to wait until I got home so I tried them hot in the car. First the wings; they were a very nice size for the price and plenty saucy. They were hot and delicious and actually spicy.
Next was the burger, I was shocked by the size, and it’s a double burger with smashed patties that were actually crispy on the edges. I forgot this was a halal restaurant, so what took me by surprised was the beef bacon on the burger. It was delicious and messy. It’s going to take a little while for your order to come out, but it’s because everything is made to order. I am definitely coming back.

10 out of 10!!! Plenty of parking right off the main road. The steak and cheese egg rolls are fire with the house special sauce. I had the Nashville chicken sandwich with hush puppies and man was it mouth watering and a complete party in my mouth. The menu items have a little bit of everything and super fresh. I will be back this week. The owners are very personable and their hospitality is hands down top tier. Don’t wait another min, this place is cute and the food will have you back for more.

Everything on the menu hits just right, from the juicy burgers to the creamy shakes, breakfast to dessert. And don’t even get me started on their Crave Sauce… it’s seriously addictive!!!

I went to this new spot and ordered a sausage,bacon croissant with my egg over easy. My beef bacon was so burned it looked like soot from a furnace! How dare you place this burnt bacon in a container and serve it to a customer? I recommend no one go here unless you are desperate and are short on cash. Prices were low and I see why!!!!!

I have enjoyed the food here each time I have visited. The salmon cheesesteak, crabcake cheesesteak, fries, pancakes, waffles and lastly the fish have ALL BEEN A HIT!!!!! It is my hope that the business will last because the food is worth the travel and wait. My only drawback is the atmosphere. The last two times visiting I had to witness drugs being sold in the restaurant and individuals taking up the seating space being loud.
I’m sure the cashier may have been afraid to say anything. It is my hope that management will address this issue so others can continue to patronize and enjoy what this business has to offer. We need this business in southeast DC!

The food here always hits the spot, if you’re in the DMV I highly recommend you stop by. My favorite is the philly cheesesteak, and I’ve had a lot of phillys but this is one of the best ever! The staff and owners are also so sweet and helpful.
