Bbq in New York continues to disappoint. Food here was mediocre at best. Brisket sandwich was cold and was chopped/cubed pieces of meat mixed with sauce. Reuben was… Grey. Chicken sandwich was tasty but the meat was pink – but not raw or smoked. Had the Reuben taken off the check and they said the color was off because it was “braised.” So, boiled?

This restaurant has a wonderful website and I traveled 1.5 hours to try the barbeque. My lunch companion and I ordered the brisket; and it was the worst I have had. The brisket was extremely dry, a small portion and appeared to be a few days old. We both had the same open face brisket sandwich and both ordered ice tea. The bill was $50 for a lunch meal. I do not recommend ordering barbecue there . I will not try this restaurant again, given the price it should have been the best I ever had.

The pork belly appetizer looked delicious but was too tough to chew. The brisket was dry as can be. It looked like it was days old and reheated in a microwave. The customer service was horrible! The waiter wouldn’t get management after complaining about the meal. A simple jack and coke was $15 each! Ridiculous! The waiter Reginald added in his own tip of $20 after we left! Even the kids complained about how dry the ribs were!
UPDATE: The manager promptly refunded the tip that was added on.

The Q was awesome, I enjoyed the pork belly skewers and the beet salad. Along with a couple of good local brews on tap. Everything we had was good. The atmosphere was us also, good old classic rock playing in the background…if we lived up this way we would frequent Joe’s American Glory.

First time visiting Hudson area. The service was amazing, Kayla was a great waitress and helpful with suggestions. Cocktails and food were great. Had the smoked pork belly, chicken and waffles and steak frites. Their side sauces were delicious, too. Would highly recommend anyone to eat here.

Altogether very solid restaurant with some very high notes and a few mediums. Let’s start with the great. The smoked sausage is hands down the best BBQ sausage I’ve had, it’s almost closer to an Italian style with fennel, but I’m not a purest and it’s just delicious with a perfect snap. The house smoked bacon is also solid. It’s not particularly bacon-y, and rather more just a cured smoked pork belly. It is quite enjoyable, although slightly dry. And the two dark BBQ sauces are delicious, especially the chipotle. The highest high was the mussels and house chorizo appetizer… O. M. G. I want that every day. They should serve it with bread to sop up every last bit of that perfect sauce.
Other notable yummyness, the hearty chunk of cornbread. Nice work! And the house pickles are sweet and pair nicely with everything. We also loved the collards and ham, although it is surprisingly sweet.
For the mediums (not lows, mind you): the BBQ ribs and chopped brisket are pretty mediocre. They’re not the kind of falling apart, smoky deliciousness I expect at a place like this, but slathered in sauce, they do the job. The orange-ish colored BBQ sauce is not great, more like a tangy salad dressing. The mac & cheese is good, but the pasta is a bit overcooked.
The service was good and prices are very fair. Love the atmosphere and the whisky selection, which unfortunately didn’t get to sample this visit.
We’ll definitely be back and look forward to trying the rest of the menu.

What a hidden gem! We were on our way to camp during a flood warning, and decided to stop for dinner and wait out the storm. I googled “BBQ near me”, and ended up here.

My family ordered the Feast. I was apprehensive that with so much to eat that the sauces and meats would lose their distinct flavor. How wrong I was! Everything was delicious and everything stood on its own. Even the sides (red cabbage, green beans, dirty rice, mashed potatoes) were strong compliments. I’ll be back with friends!
