My daughters, granddaughters, & I visited the American Girl Place and Cafe. Alfredo, our waiter, had a special knack with children and made the visit really special. His kindness & patience, along with a delicious food, was well worth trip!

I would not go there for the food, but the place is very nice, my daughter loves that she could bring her doll, and the waiter was great!

Truly one of the best experiences, I loved it. Went with friends for our birthdays (in our twenties) for some childhood nostalgia, definitely delivered. Worth the price and the experience. Maria was wonderful and so accommodating to our vegetarian guest. However, make a reservation! Even though it was a kids cafe, i felt like we still had a silly fun adult experience. Recommend the AG burger.

We had so much fun celebrating my Daughter’s 18th and my niece’s 4th birthday together. The food was great, the service was wonderful.

The food isn’t anything to write home about (this is a place for kids after all), but the portion sizes are actually normal (very unusual for any American restaurant) because kids have small stomachs. The service and overall experience are excellent, and the ability to borrow a doll to sit at your table is A+ cute. If you intend to dine during the holidays, you will likely need a reservation.

The only good thing about this place is the servers. The food is a mix of gas station food and some sort of Craig’s cruisers. The girls loved it but please for the love of god eat before you go here.

Amazing, adorable, and pricing not too bad considering you’re in downtown Chicago.
