Alright, I’m gonna start with I almost turned around when I got to the parking lot and not one car. My nephews who were going with me said nobody is here it must be mad. I decided stay and let the restaraunt win me over. I walked in and was greeted by a friendly face who was a great server all night. Couldn’t find any flaws in this waiter. Secondly it was super clean. I do like the new setup and how open it is with a few privacy walls if you prefer to sit in those areas. Now we get to the food. We started off with the combo platter. The french fries perfectly golden and nice crisp. The onion rings were tasty but the star was the mozzarella sticks. Plus the marinara sauce was so good we dipped everything with it. Then we go with the entrees. One person went with the blt chicken wrap. He said it was 5 stars and loaded with bacon which made it a little greasy but they loved it. The other nephew had a cheeseburger. He gave it a 3.5. He said he liked it but bill’s is better. I had the house burger which was super yummy and definitely a 5 star burger. The egg on top adding to the already moist burger. So filling I almost didn’t finish it. I had the sweet potato tots as a side with cinnamon butter which will always be my side everytime I go. I will be going back. I hope this place gets more support because it does diner food better than spring garden or country kitchen.

I do NOT often give 5* reviews. I am new in town here. I thank my lucky stars that I am near this restaurant. Everything I have eaten here has been the very best of the best. Portion size is one of the most important criteria for me.
The burger I just ate there was easily the best burger I’ve eaten in 2023 and here it is October.
The wait staff, hostess and behind the scenes staff are also very friendly and professional.
As it stands right now, if I was to recommend one all-around restaurant in Taylorville, this would be it.
I can’t wait to get into their selection of cakes and pies….

My husband & I live here in Taylorville & have eaten here twice now. For us, they have the best burgers in town. Plus it’s without a doubt the cleanest restaurant in town & the staff is super friendly.

The servers seemed nice enough but they didn’t seem ready for business. I had the jumbo shrimp and sweet potato tots. I love sweet potatoes but something was off about theirs. They looked good but the insides were pretty raw. The salad was wilted and browning. The shrimp was good tho. My wife had one of the burgers and she enjoyed it saying it was pretty good. My son had pancakes at6 pm and those were awesome.
It was not a horrible experience but it is definitely not going to be my first pick to eat in taylorville.

The food is so good here!!!! Everything cooked to perfection. Mashed potatoes and croutons are homemade. The chicken fried steak is huge. It’s a little pricey but the portions are large. Restaurant was very clean and our waitress Angie is a very good server. I will definitely be back.

I tried the Potato Skin Eggs Benedict which was very good. They have a HUGE selection on their menue to choose from. The staff are super friendly and attentive. My group of friends, who meet about once a month for lunch, has decided to return there for our next meeting!
I am so mad/upset/sad that there was not enough people locally to support this wonderful eatery. To the owners – it makes me so sad to drive by and see you are not there. Food is great but that’s the only good part. The owner is a jerk and I witnessed him being rude to a server about a table she didn’t even serve. It made me feel really awkward. She was actually our waitress and she was, although very young and inexperienced, very sweet. The owner also called my husband for a service call and when he was informed he couldn’t help, he thanked him “for nothing.” So yeah. We’ll never be patronizing the establishment again. There’s plenty of other restaurants with better atmospheres and just as good food. No reason to be mean to anyone, especially your own (underage!) staff!

Start of with the food & menu was very good & a clean place. The service not so, other servers seemed nice and friendly. Our waitress came to get our order leaning on the back of the booth, yawning and rubbing her eyes, seemed like all she could to stay awake(NooN), took our order never seen her again, someone else brought our food out, had to go to counter to pay the bill, my guess owners spoiled brat daughter, i could be wrong, if not might get rid of her. I would go back and give it a shot again, just because of the good food.

I’ve been there twice now and both times I’ve been favorably impressed. It’s clean. The food was well cooked and ample and the service was excellent. They have a good variety on their menu with breakfast available all day.

Being born and raised in a town with bills toasty’s it is very hard for me to compare any burger to theirs but this place the burger tasted like soy or something. Service was excellent from the server and the coffee was good, in sure there is food here that is good I just didn’t get it.
