This was my first time eating at American deli. Initially, I thought it was a sandwich shop so imagine my surprise when I find out they have everything under the sun up in here. The Chicken Philly cheesesteak and wing combo is probably the best thing on the menu though my group also ordered a hamburger additional wings and fries that they seasoned right in front of us. The wings were absolutely drenched in sauce, so delicious. I could hardly explain it! How this place does not have five out of five stars at all times is beyond me.

Such a tasty Reuben! When I 1st moved to the area I thought this was a DELI, serving just sandwiches etc but NOT THE CASE HERE! I was surprised at the vast menu available. Plus perfect portions- add good prices, service & quickness too…quickly became my go-to spot. Yes- you’ll see a line most of the time (which only indicates the food is delicious) but never have I ever gotten impatient or distressed from a long wait in line. Why not you ask…well it’s because it just hasn’t ever happened to me! I’ve never been asked to “pull forward” to wait either. Good food, good service, good prices & portions- what all else matters!

Disgusting. I ordered through door dash tonight. My food was cold hard and nasty. It was my first time trying it. And, I wanted the same experience I have heard about. The wings were hard and disgusting. The shrimp and fried rice was over cooked, cold and nasty. The first were horrible. I’m pissed my first experience with American deli was awful.

When I say amazing food I mean amazing food, being from the north it’s very hard to get some authentic Philly cheesesteak but this place has it. A little secret, get their Garlic Parmesan wings with some extra sauce and dip that Philly right in that sauce and it will be one of the greatest food adventurers of your Winston-Salem life. Prices are also phenomenal for the quality, and quantity. My doctor may hate me eating this food but my taste buds don’t.

Every time I go to an American deli, I never come away disappointed. Food is consistently superior to approach. With this food chain, the mild sauce and ranch each have a distinct, exquisite flavor that is immediately identifiable. It is filling and doesn’t cost much. However, with regard to drinks, I suggest a fruit punch with extra ice!

Like someone else said, it’s a hit or miss! I went today, got home, was eating and discovered a piece of hair in my food. I know it’s not my hair, because I have in braids! I’m really disgusted!!! And what’s really making me upset is them not answering the phone to accommodate my issue! I’ll never be back!

Ordered Lemon pepper dry rub wings. The wings were fried so hard it tastes like I was eating fat back meat. The only need to be cooked 8 minutes. the other times I got wings they were awesome bit this last time I was very disappointed.

Wish I could give 0 stars. I never been a consumer of American Deli. Earlier today I had two uber deliveries from this location. Upon arrival I was met with lack of eye contact and communication. When I came there, the two Hispanic women there didn’t even acknowledge me, and I was standing right in front of them. I at one point asked how much a bottle of water was, they don’t look at me or respond. About 5 minutes later she brings me a bottle water. (???). It felt like I was talking to myself when I was there. I let the two women know before I left that their customer service was terrible. Besides being a delivery driver, I could never spend my own money at a place this rude and treating people the way they do.
