Hailing from Michigan, American Coney Island has found a new home at the D Las Vegas. Located under the outside escalator next to D Bar sits this American casual dining restaurant that has won the hearts, and stomachs, of many in the Downtown Las Vegas dining scene. It is open 24 hours and offers high quality, specially-seasoned Dearborn sausage hotdogs smothered in the Keros family secret special recipe chili sauce. Add to that a topping of fine mustard and sweet chopped onions that is the final touch to the distinctive overall taste and flavor of American Coney Island. Served in a warm steamed bun, it’s a tantalizing treat that’s still hard to beat after all these years.
This old-school mainstay specializes in classic eats, like burgers & dogs since 1917.

1 am weekend time…. The staff showed up with all the enthusiasm I’d have if I had to work there in that capacity. I asked for no onions, but they felt I wasn’t spicy enough. Therefore, I had onions. Extra onions. I wanted cheese, but my jokes are the cheesiest thing in Vegas, so I got a sprinkle. The security was on point ready for action, which when you’re trying to beat that hangover with some cheap eats.. there’s plenty of! Busy, and what $5 bucks gets you. Cheap entertainment and something to keep you going!
” Fremont experience”
Hot dog wiener tasted plastic, chilly didn’t have meat neither beans..salty as all hell..flavour was ok. Even the French friess were not good…how do you screw up French fries?…seriously. The Fountain drink syrup/water mixture was terribly off.
Honestly…Ive had better hotdogs in 3rd world country streets…
If you are craving hot dogs ?….try dirty dogs instead
There were customers inside but no crowd which was surprising as outside on the street the flow of people was endless.
We ordered a hotdog, chilly cheese potatoes and giros. The latter we selected because of good recommendations on google 😉 which was actually a mistake – it was the worst out of the three. We paid around 23 usd. The seller asked for a document before she accepted our bank card, which was a surprise but I guess it is a good practice to be cautious in such crowded areas.
The food arrived fast. The hotdog was fine, chilly potatoes were amazing and giros as said was so-so mostly because of very dry meat.
The food came in plastic containers, which I didn’t like as I hate leaving garbage after food, especially that much garbage 🙁
Overall it was a nice experience, the service was fine, the prices very acceptable, we were totally satisfied.
