Awesome slice of classic Americana. Food was great, service was great, atmosphere was like a classic diner. I would drive out here from several hours away just to eat here again.

A double burger here is like a quadruple burger at others places and with more flavor! They even have Malt Vinegar for the mounds of fries.

Renee is doing a great job as the new owner. I’ve eaten here several times over the years with several different owners and she is by far the best. The place is super clean, the food is fresh and delicious, and the service is excellent. I had the Corned Beef Hash after hearing they brine their own beef and it was some of the best I’ve had. Keep it up!!

Wow they advertise food like it used to be. Tasted like my grandma cooked for me. Biscuits massive and perfect. Gravy has this extra sagie flavor, eggs cooked as I asked, even the coffee was excellent. Service, atmosphere, cleanliness all 5 . Glad I don’t live there, I’d eat there everyday.

I am a Petty Officer of the United States Navy SCC and I very much enjoyed my time there. It was a very classic cafe and the people there were very friendly. I ate the ‘Country Fried Steak’ and it was very good, I had white toast, hash browns and over medium eggs. The dish went together very well and I got my food as soon as it was finished cooking. The only problem I had was I asked from White Toast and it tasted more of sour dough. A simple mistake but it still tasted very good. I give a solid 4.7 to 5 star for this cafe. It makes me very proud to be an American at ‘American Cafe’.

The owner is so nice and understanding! Came in close to closing and they were wonderful enough to allow us to still order. Hadn’t had a chance to come yet and had been craving the chance for almodt a year. The burger that I got lived up to every expectation that I had. I love the food and the environment! Definitely coming back again. I reccomend every one on the fence about trying the place to do so!

Excellent service, down home comfort food. I had the chicken fried steak n eggs. The CFS was cooked just right, crispy goodness. The gravy on the other hand was bland. Salt n pepper for sure. Eggs (over easy) was spot on. Hash browns (perfect) would i go back?? You bet.

I eat here several times a month. Always good. To the person with the bad experience. Communication is key to good service. When a small place gets overly busy and the server is overwhelmed a kindly reminder in a timely manner could have turned around your whole experience. Just saying. Everyone is human.

Very yummy, great people, clean. Depending on what you order it can take a minute to get your food or sometimes it’s fast. Cause they make things Homemade. So it take time to do that. Which is great. Rene is amazing. I love these people.

I go here for breakfast with my family. The chicken fried steak and biscuits and gravy are my favorite. The gravy is definitely made from scratch. Really great comfort food and good for families and groups. Nice place in such a small town.
