Another outdated Admirals Club. It was hard to find the elevator as the construction panels blocked the view. The soup was delicious, but that’s the only highlight. I believe most Admirals Clubs need a thorough refurbishment.

This Admirals club lounge is fairly subpar for Admirals clubs. It is small and the food area is usually fairly dirty. The hours are short and if you go there within a couple of hours of when they close, there’s often no food left. Other Admirals clubs seem to put food out right until the end, but this one winds down early. If I paid to get into this lounge, I would be fairly pissed off. Fortunately, I get in free with a credit card.

The American Airlines club is a little cramped and somewhat strangely laid out, especially the weird bar. The team at the welcome desk was exceptional. However, the team handling the food and service weren’t really attentive to their jobs, and I saw no interactions with any guests. The bartender was OK but a little clumsy with communication he had difficulty explaining to a guest that their CO2 was out so they didn’t have carbonated beverages and surprisingly the guest had to ask. Don’t you have anything in cans, before it occurred to the bartender that yes there were still carbonated beverages. There are no real restaurants in the airport but if you’re starving, the quick service stuff isn’t too bad, three stars at best. Little if any seating. Be prepared to grab and go, find a place to sit. The barbecue place “Salt Lick” is supposedly rated as the fourth best Airport restaurant in the US. That seems outrageously generous to me. In most major airports I don’t think it would be rated the fourth best on any given concourse. This seems to be a quick, convenient airport. Easy to navigate with pretty efficient security.

This lounge is slightly below the average standard of Admirals Club lounges at other airports.

It is not very spacious, seating is quite cramped, and the selection of food and beverages is limited, with overall quality being rather low.

There are only about six seats equipped with power outlets suitable for laptop use.

On the positive side, the staff are friendly and attentive, frequently walking around the lounge to keep the area clean and tidy.

Not a comfortable place, staff is helpful and pleasant. Chairs are upright and just outdated with tears on the plastic. Must pay for premium drinks. I will not return to this admirals club. Not worth the $80 to get sub par food and not a relaxing club. I used points ……. Mistake, but now I’ve learned

The staff at this lounge are the true stars!
Everyone is extremely helpful, courteous and willing to help.
The food is as good as it can be for a regular AA Admirals lounge.
Seating has mostly the simple couches and some tables and chairs.
There is a view into the terminal.
A bar is also available.

The most apparent thing you first notice is the lounge staff reminds you of the 1930s-1950s train porter staff set up. Older white faces up front at the counter and the cleaning, bar and cooking staff are black and Mexican.

The staff is friendly and attentive. However, the furniture is very outdated with 90s vibe. The dark brown leather chairs are hard, very wore out and dirty. While the cloth chairs are filthy and stained. The men’s restroom could be cleaner. It’s about as clean as McDonald’s restroom. I can say for sure that the food and beverage area is kept nice and have a decent selection of things to consume. I would rate the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport American Airlines Admiral Lounge at 2.5 stars out of 5 stars.

Please update the interior, furniture and restrooms. There’s way too much of a brown theme. It’s not hiding the filth well. For all of the money for the membership. They can do better. The membership should be 25% cheaper for what you get.

Small and warren like and so can get quite full. If you are here as a British Airways passenger there are two things to note.

For BA you get a different menu with a bigger selection of drinks. And also – it’s at the other end of the airport from the international gates.

The staff do a good job though and I understand a new lounge is being built.

For not visiting many Admiral’s Clubs, this was an excellent place that provided some quiet and comfort, along with really solid food. Sure the food is very limited, but they did have an excellent white chicken chili and great pita, falafel, and tzatziki. They also have fresh fruits and veggies and a bar with complimentary drinks (some complimentary options, some for a small cost).

I was able to relax in comfort and had no issues accessing the lounge. It is on an upper level of the Austin airport, and there is an elevator to take you there!

Tiny and crowded. Options are extremely limited for food. Mac and cheese and soup were the only choices.

The highlight of the experience was the lovely African American lady at the check in desk. She was friendly and helpful.

Website says cost is $59 or 5900 miles, cost is really $79 or 7900 miles. Worth about $6.
