Amelio’s on the River is a family owned staple in Logansport. It has been open for more than 150 years in the same location making us the longest operating business in the area. We embrace our heritage with Italian inspired American cuisine. Our 100% never frozen beef hamburgers have been voted over and over again as the best in the Pharos Tribune’s Reader’s Choice contest. Our mouth watering steaks have also been voted Best Steaks multiple times, including the past 3 years. Our dining room is family friendly and cozy. Our deck overlooks Little Turtle Waterway Park or for a night without the kids, you can sit in our fully separate bar area with music and great times! We have daily lunch and dinner specials!

Stopped for lunch. Outstanding white fish sandwich and the wife had the hoagie sandwich that thought was delicious. House made chip were warm and salted just right.
Gave it a 4 because we couldn’t see the river. Hopefully a rooftop addition in the future.

Tried to go on a Friday but the door was locked and no cars were outside but the open sign was on. Luckily, the owner noticed we were trying to come in and unlocked the door.
The appetizers (fried pickles & Thai chili wings) were absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately our main courses weren’t as great. The steak and meatball sandwich was not bad, just not as good as we were hoping for. Our waitress was very friendly, attentive and helpful.

This is my favorite breaded pork tenderloin ever! Handmade and the toppings are super fresh. My dinner companions had great looking 8 oz filets, a burger, chicken smothered in mushrooms and mozzarella, and vegetarian pasta. Dustin took great care of our large group and even brought Walter the dog to visit us

We had the best waitress, who was working her butt off to get two large tables served. It wasn’t her fault that they were understaffed, and you would think on a Thursday night they would not need to have an extra person. They did really well and were very apologetic with the time it took to get our meals out. The food was fabulous, especially the appetizers. We ate way too much and had way too much fun.
My only complaint was the music did not seem appropriate for the crowd that was there. They were showing old music videos of Michael Jackson, and some more modern videos. It seemed maybe to be more appealing to a much younger crowd. Also, it made it difficult to have conversations across the table.

I absolutely loved this place! My husband had been once before and wanted me to try it. We sat outside and it was beautiful!!! Food was amazing!!! And the service was the best! (I think our servers name was Alisha?) We will definitely be back!!!

Had a surprisingly delicious meal with the family. Our waitress, Deann i believe was spot on hospitality and nice personality taboot. Food didn’t take to long even tho there were 10 of us. Wife and I splited our meals so we had the pork chop and chicken, both were cooked and seasoned to perfection served with 2 sides which were also delicious. Definitely recommend this little hole in the wall to anyone passing through.

Our food was good, the service was not bad, but be beware…there is a tip added for a table of 4 with separate separate checks. This waitress made out, 20% that she added and 20%+ that we each added. It’s really too bad, I like to support local up coming businesses, but DO NOT take advantage of us! BTW, there is a charge of $2.00 for glass of water.
