And it’s not just seafood—their steaks are absolutely to die for. Everything is cooked perfectly, and the prices are honestly really reasonable for the quality you get. On top of that, the staff is consistently amazing and makes every visit feel special.
My partner and I go here so often we use to joke that we should just get married there. That’s how much we love it. But then they have a beautiful space to do that that’s newly renovated! It’s gorgeous. This place throughout my relationship has held so many special memories with my partner and I. Memories over a meal shared together.
This place truly deserves all the success—do yourself a favor and check them out.
Place is beautiful and staff is very friendly. Waited a good 20 min to sit down but got our food very fast.
I got the Toasted Salmon Caesar, it was good but Ive never received a deconstructed salad like that. I had to cut the romaine myself.
Clam chowder – not a fan.
Deviled eggs – just ok.
Blanc Salmon dish – husband ordered and was not a fan except he loved the sauce.
Everything lacked seasoning for us.
Overall it was our first time going there, I hope they take all the notes that people wrote and make it.
Good luck!
We got here at 5:55. Reservations at 6:15. We were sat immediately. This gave me high hopes that the service was going to be fantastic. I was incredibly mistaken. Around 6:25 we were ready to walk out when I finally flagged down a server to ask who our server was. She was polite and said she wasn’t part of our section but would find out. I explained the table behind me had been met with their server 2 times and the table in front of us also had been checked on and yet we had not.
She was kind and took our drink order. It took about 10 minutes to get a glass of wine and a soda delivered.
She took our order when she delivered the wine.
10 minutes later she came back to let us know our appetizers and man course were almost ready.
I personally prefer to have my appetizers and enjoy conversations and wine than the meal. Not everything brought out so close together.
We got the oysters and the stuffed egg. It’s basically a hard boiled egg with panko and deep fried. Not worth the money in my opinion. The oysters were not what I expected. I’ve had oysters at many restaurants before and these were sincerely lack luster. I could be bias as the Hemlock is tough to beat for their oysters. But the mignonette wasn’t very flavorful and we had to cut the lemon ourselves. Also the presentation was incredibly disappointing, as they kept the top of the shell on the oysters.
My son’s meal came out before mine. The server said they were still working on my main course (boil) and his salad. Which is kinda confusing why a steak would be done before his salad. His steak was like chewing on a boot. He offered me piece as he felt awkward eating alone in front of me. The only flavor you could taste was an overwhelming load of pepper. The fries were okay. Nothing to write home about.
10 minutes later his salad came out. The server told me that the boil was super popular tonight and hopefully the taste would Make up for the wait.
Back to the salad. It was incredibly bland. The house dressing is basically just olive oil. I took a bite as I am fairly hungry after being disappointed by appetizers.
As I look around there’s about 6 empty tables and over hear a server tell another table they are absolutely slammed tonight.
I eventually ended up asking for the manager and I was about to cancel my order as she brought it out.
I spoke with the manager we were there for an hour and met with one disappointment after another.
I do have to give the manager props. She was very kind. And gave us 10$ off cards, but I don’t know if I’ll be returning.
I understand it’s valentines but if you can’t handle a “full house” how are they supposed to handle events as it also says they are an event center.
They definitely need to work on their service. And the food. I can excuse poor food. I can’t excuse bad service.
Again the manager was super kind. That’s the only reason I’m giving 2 stars for service is because of her. But they have some things to work on. I’m not a one and done person. I’m not sure I would give it another try or recommend them, but if I do return my expectations will be a lot lower than they were today.
The clam chowder soup and panko fried deviled eggs were next level and the white sangria? So refreshing and perfectly balanced not overly sweet, just light and delicious.
Between the amazing food, great atmosphere, and overall experience, this place is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back!
