The food was phenomenal. I got the biscuits and gravy with a buttermilk pancake. Loved the price (under $10 for both) and our server was very sweet.
4 stars because there was only one server and one cook in the kitchen for a semi-full restaurant. My friend Steve and I probably waited around 30 – 40 minutes just to get our food. We were in no rush, but a little extra staffing would get this place over the hump.

Loved the welcome dog Lindy. Food was great and great breakfast. Ate here again Sunday morning. Great omelet. Busy morning and they need to get help for the waitress. She was hard pressed to keep everyone handled. Pretty setting.

Bread rolls tasted a bit dry and like they had been made days before. Hair on plate (that was definitely not ours). House salad had several pieces of spoiled lettuce (slimy and black). Rest of the food was mediocre, but terribly overpriced. However service was friendly and the view of the mountains was nice.

Some food are okay some are not really.. It’s a bit pricey for type of food served. But guess u have no choice but eat there Coz it’s a few mins drive to town. Staff are friendly and pleasant. Sausage and gravy was bland need more. Sausage and seasoned more. Fresh coffee is good. Big breakfast is really big.

Ate there for lunch on June 3,2016 while visiting my friend Trent. The fish sandwich was really good and the onion rings with their dipping sauce tasted great. The food was reasonably priced,

We came in during the off season and the food.was excellent. Just like a warm and great home cooked meal in a dining room that looks like you’re in someone’s home, where you feel great afterwards. That is the beat way I can describe it. The area does not have a lot of kid friendly restaurants, but Amelia’s has a good selection of choices for kids. My kids loved the chicken tenders and the spaghetti and meatballs. Slightly over priced but it’s in a snow resort area, and it took a little time to get the food but we were here during a very quiet period for the area. Will return.

Very pricey ,not a lot of food. Tasted awful. The decor was outdated but clean the staff was friendly. My husband ordered BBQ chicken and French fries. Suppose to be 2 chicken breast., it was one cut in half. I got the roast beef (where’d the beef) mashed potatoes and vegetables. The gravy was jelled. The vegetable was not fresh. My 5 year old order a spaghetti and meatballs. Meatball was hard and sauce tasted terrible. Bottom line you don’t get what you pay for here. A lot of cutting corners.

This was our second trip to Canaan valley, but our first time at Amelia’s. We will definitely return for the home cooked meals and the amazing staff. This place it just like a grandmas cookin’! You won’t leave disappointed.

We just sat there for 25 min and the server never did come to even ask our drinks, two other people got the same treatment. In the end we left first and the others followed not far behind, the people who did manage to get served had empty drink glasses and I also over heard one woman say her pancakes were cold.
Looked for someone to talk to let them know and didn’t see anyone, wasn’t about to stand and wait even longer at the desk just to complain about waiting for service, seemed too ironic when I was already irritated.
Dissatisfied and let down, really looked forward to this place.

Drove over from Mt. Storm wanting to try someplace new for breakfast , and was very pleased with Amelia’s. Very friendly staff, pancakes, eggs and ham was excellent and the portions were too much for even me to eat.
