Amelia’s By the Sea is a fabulous restaurant with superb service. Our server, Lauren, was wonderful and helped make our celebratory dinner even more delightful. Two of our guests had the Chilean Sea Bass with fresh figs and gnocchi that was served in a delicious brown butter sauce. I had broiled salmon with horseradish that was phenomenal. Even their bread was outstanding. As you know, many restaurants are encouraging their guests to pay cash, including Amelia’s By the Sea, so you might consider stopping at your bank and taking out extra cash so you won’t have to pay an extra 3% if you pay with a credit card.

I had mixed feelings about this restaurant. My salmon was very good. My wifes shrimp was overdone. Her drink wasn’t served ⁸to the table until we were halfway through eating our meal. The server never asked how our food was. The service was more like a medium priced restaurant. At $90 each, I would have expected better service. A plus was that the birthday candle was like a small flare. Very cool.

Enjoyed dinner here on a very busy Saturday night, and we were really impressed by the quality of the food. The by-the-glass wine list, while not extensive, covers all the bases, and the cocktails were spot-on. In spite of the servers having to cover a ton of tables, we lacked nothing, and were helped by some highly accurate pairing suggestions. Only real negative was that outer dining area was kind of boring and sans charm, but everything else was so great we barely cared. Would definitely go back.

Really lovely spot for a special night out. The food is pricey but extremely high quality & delicious — we were all very happy with what we ordered. Service was attentive and friendly. The only thing is that our table was quite small and a little crowded for 4 people with drinks and plates. However, we were all enjoying ourselves so much we hardly noticed. Highly recommend all the pasta dishes and the calamari. We will be back!

The food is good, not great. A $50 pork chop should be great – it wasn’t. The services was less than satisfactory – the staff seemed happy to be there and the maitre’d said all the right things but didn’t do anything. We made reservations online but they couldn’t find it in their system – good thing my wife took a screenshot of the confirmation – so Amelia’s mistake. The maitre’d said he’d take care of us and told us to get a drink at the bar – didn’t comp the round or anything else to make up for the screw up. The poor bartender was about 5′ tall and couldn’t reach the top shelf where most of the spirits were and she did not have any idea of what brands they had. The bar area might accommodate 5 people but there were about twenty standing around waiting for tables trying to get a drink and competing with the table orders with the one bartender. The waiter was very friendly but he only came to the table twice – no drink service at the tables and one shot at ordering food. Other than that, it was great.

Yum! We have been to every restaurant that has ever been in the Grand Victorian but this one is the best! Loved it! So romantic on the porch! Will definitely be coming back! They did a lot of renovations and upgrades! This is our new favorite restaurant!

Staff was pleasant enough until dinner took 1:20 to come out. Wait staff was annoyed with us. We didn’t even attempt to stay for desert. Great location. Good food, abysmal service. Don’t go unless you expect to spend 2.5 hours for dinner without desert
