Diner with a homey, retro-feel serving unique Cuban fare with Peruvian & Korean influences.

Came here for a date night and it was phenomenal. Our waiter was MJ and he was super attentive, he checked on us often and made great recommendations. The manager for the night was Jasmine and she was also great, personally checking on us as well.
To start, we ordered the Dakkochi – the chicken was so well seasoned and the pineapple kimchi was flavorful. The pork belly was richly seasoned and incredibly crispy, the sweet cucumber salad was such a delicious addition to the pork and fried cheese.
For mains, we ordered the steak frites (perfectly cooked – steak needed no salt and was juicy. And the Cuban pork Katsu – the katsu was so yummy and crispy, the hoisin sauce was such a wonderful addition and it also came with a cucumber radish salad that was refreshing alongside the crisp. The only downfall was the white rice that just didn’t compare to the rest of the meal, and was just a bit bland.
We had the timba for dessert – it was light, fluffy and had such a nice rich kick of guava.
All in all amazing combination of flavors. The menu and meals were so well put together. The atmosphere was near impeccable, it was dim, dark and felt like a speakeasy.

We visited this spot around 8:45 p.m., with a reservation, and our seating was perfect. The service was excellent, attentive, friendly, and welcoming from start to finish. For appetizers, we ordered the Korean BBQ skewers, oxtail dumplings, and braised short rib croquetas, and every single one was a 10 out of 10, full of flavor and beautifully prepared. For the main event, as the restaurant calls it, we had the lomo saltado, which came with one of the best risottos I’ve had in a long time, and the braised oxtail, both dishes were outstanding and just as impressive as the starters. For dessert, we tried the tiramisu, while it was decent, it didn’t live up to the bold, flavorful dishes that came before it, I would rate the dessert a 4 out of 10.Overall, the experience was great, the service was excellent, the food was very good, and I would definitely go back.

Amelia’s 1931 is the upscale sister restaurant to Finka, with a similar Korean/Peruvian/Latin fusion menu. The food was as good a Finka with some style differences. I preferred the Oxtail at Amelia’s but preferred the accompanying Risotto at Finka over the Tamal en Cazuela at Amelia’s. The Seco de Res was great. I would highly recommend the food. The service could be better, especially since they were not very busy when we were there. We asked for a mojito with no ice and got one that was all ice. When they noticed that we had made a mess trying to remove the ice they provided one without ice. Our server was nowhere to be found after taking our order, until we were almost done. Fortunately, the hostess was very accessible and did a great job to make sure that our requests were quickly met. The atmosphere was very dark and romantic, if that’s what you’re looking for. And a musician was setting up when we left around 8pm. For first time goers, it may be difficult finding the entrance because they decided to be cute about it. The entrance with the name is locked and directs you to an entrance a couple doors away. But that entrance appears to be for a Dry Cleaner, even at first glance when you open the door and look inside. Two other couples and us were outside, frustrated, looking for the entrance for a while. An unnecessary annoyance that needs to be addressed.
Hopefully the service lapse will be addressed by the time we return.

Brought the family for my wife’s birthday and the food was great. We made it for brunch so the menu was limited, but the mimosas were good. The service was great, the food and the atmosphere were amazing. The place looks like an old speakeasy and the irony is there’s a real dry cleaner next door.

From the moment we walked into Amelia’s, the experience was exceptional. Jasmine, the GM, greeted us warmly and made us feel right at home.
She went above and beyond to make sure every detail of our visit was perfect. Our server, Sebastian, was equally outstanding—attentive, friendly, and genuinely committed to making our evening special.
As someone who follows a vegan lifestyle, I’m often prepared to “make do” with menu options, but not here—both Jasmine and Sebastian went out of their way to ensure I had creative, flavorful, and beautifully presented dishes that fit my needs without compromise. Their care and effort made all the difference, and it’s rare to find such thoughtful hospitality.
Amelia’s is a place where you’re treated like family, and the food and service are truly memorable. Highly recommend!

Where to begin… from the level of service to ambiance to taste of food plus entertainment was 5++. Jasmine (MOD) was AMAZING – from checking in with us while we waited for our table to helping her staff with a friendly smile – she was more than on point. Manny our server was great!!! He was informative- gave good suggestions- very attentive. We weren’t sure what to expect with “Cuban” food being in Miami – but it was great, flavorful/ tasty. The drinks were great too – the waitress while we waited suggested drinks based on what we like and did not disappoint. (Don’t remember her name sorry but would love to give her kudos as well). And then there was live entertainment- Jazz which we love. We can’t wait to come back. So glad we came here to celebrate my bf bday.

Our server Sarai was so attentive and thoroughly checked with the kitchen about our table’s allergies. The food was impeccable and we can’t wait to visit again, especially if they’re serving the fried fish special!

Beautiful spot in an unassuming location. Service was stellar. Sebastian was very attentive and knowledgeable.
Now the food. Wow. Everything was excellent. We had the Hamachi tiradito, sublime. The pork belly was delicious. Unami Escargot amazing. My wife had the Boniato Gnocchi and she absolutely loved it. I tried it as well and it was amazing. I had the filet and it was honestly the best steak I’ve ever had. Cooked perfectly in a delicious pepper sauce. Wowzas.
Not to mention we went on a Wednesday night and there was a flamenco band playing that just made the overall experience perfect. Highly recommend this spot to everyone!!

We really enjoyed our dinner here. The place is beautifully decorated, resembling a 1930’s speakeasy with cozy, elegant decor. We started with the Escargot and the Porkbelly and both were excellent. The Escargot did not disappoint. It came with six shells, plus crusty bread that I dipped on the left over oil and cheese: delicious. For cocktails, the Silk Stalkings and the Original Sin were ok. Strong in liquor but did not have a bold flavor; with the Original Sin tasting more like a margarita than apple. The Tiramisu was a generous portion with a bold coffee flavor and authentic cream. Service was exceptional. Easy access from the street. Vegan options available (salad). Several gluten free options available. Would love to return and try other fare.
