We enjoyed a nice dinner at Ameci’s with pizza, salad and complementary bread sticks. The pizza crust was crispy and the veggie toppings were fresh. They couldn’t accept a coupon we had due to it having to be used for delivery or takeout only. So they offset our bill by more than the value of the coupon and let us keep the coupon. I highly recommend Ameci’s for your local Italian and pizza place.

We had our entire basketball program and their families at the restaurant tonight and the staff was more the accommodating and took great care of our large group. The man who I assume is the owner was extremely condescending and rude. There’s absolutely no reason to show such a negative attitude toward the people who deliver your food for your business. I am a DoorDash driver, I always walk in with a smile on my face, and I’m happy to pick up at every restaurant and drop off to every customer. So when I walked into Amici’s and was treated like I was doing something wrong and even bothering the man, it made me want to warn people that there is no reason to support a small business with a big attitude. There are so many wonderful places that we can support with friendly owners. The rest of the staff has always been very friendly, but the owner (assuming based on age and arrogance level) is just a jerk. On all the local Mom Facebook groups I have always recommended Amici’s for anyone throwing birthday parties and I have supported them myself for years. That will never happen and I’ll make sure to warn people online for recommendations for party subs in the future. What a disappointment and judging by the other reviews, it sounds like he treats all of his delivery drivers this way. I feel bad for his real employees. I would like to know what your problem is with DoorDash drivers that are helping your customers get your food? I also would like you to know and understand that us drivers may also be your customers. PS, my delivery canceled after I picked up the pizza so I got to keep the pizza and it was just OK.

If you’ve ever wondered where pizza goes when it wants to become legendary, it’s Amechi’s in TO. I swear the air in that place smells like victory and melted mozzarella. The crust??? Perfectly golden… with just the right crunch like it was kissed by the pizza gods themselves… yes! That good.
But the real magic? The short bald guy behind the counter. If there’s anyone on Earth who looks like they were born to make pizza, it’s him… (I think his name is skinny Vinny) You could drop him into any movie about food and the audience would just know that’s the guy who makes the dough rise with sheer willpower and hearts desire.
Word on the street (and possibly in heaven) is that he once saved a dog’s life right outside the shop.. The goes like this.. A little pup (most likely a pug) was choking on a rogue pepperoni, and the man delivered a perfect canine Heimlich between tossing doughs. The dog lived, the pizza stayed hot, and the legend of Amechi’s grew three sizes that day.
Also the garlic bread is good.

This owner gets it. I messed up on my order, didn’t hit the delivery button, and realized later what I did. They delivered the pizza to me free of charge. We were in the neighborhood and decided to try a new place. It was a good experience. Food was delicious. We ordered a calzone and an appetizer sampler. The sauce of the wing was sweet and spice and was delicious. Staff was really friendly. Bathroom was very clean.

5 Stars all around. I completely disagree with the other Door Dashers review. This is by far the best Ameci’s around. Everything from the food, the atmosphere, the staff and especially the owner are all 5 Stars. The owner is incredibly friendly and caring to both his customers AND towards the delivery drivers as well. I have been picking up both Door Dash and Uber Eats orders from this location for years now and it is consistently an above the line experience. We are lucky to have an owner that cares so much about his business and community in our neighborhood. Every time that I am there, I can see how hard he is working and how involved he is with every aspect. I’ve delivered from hundreds of restaurants and in my opinion it’s a rare thing to find an owner that works as hard as he does. Again, 5 Stars all around.
