The service here was exceptional! The manager was really nice! However, things fell short almost immediately. We were given a sauces for a crispy complementary appetizer and there was a hair as soon as I went to take a bite. I immediately notified them and they just swapped it. I was disappointed to see that before even getting my food. I was immediately turned away from looking forward to the rest of the dinner. However the flavor for the curry was very good! There was a lot of spices and seasoning to the chicken Tika masala. My friend got the samosas and absolutely didn’t like them. She ended up eating with me from what I ordered. Also it only came with TWO pieces for about $10 which is ABSOLUTELY ridiculous. Another thing that I wasn’t too pleased about was the fact that they charge for rice for a really small portion. It was definitely not enough rice for one order and it should come with the Curry, especially, with the curry costing $22. This place is overpriced for sure. We also got the garlic Naan and the garlic taste was very bold almost like raw, not so cooked, so if you don’t like a bold garlic taste I would consider other options! Prices are way too high for what you get and the hair was a let down. Which is why I’m giving it 3 stars. (0 drinks, 1 rice, 1 garlic naan, Chicken Tikka Masala, 1 samosa came out to $45). Also im comparing this to plenty of other Indian restaurants in the area.

Ambrosia India Bistro blends traditional Indian flavors with a modern downtown Los Gatos setting, creating a dining experience that feels both familiar and fresh. The menu is rich with North Indian classics, but what sets it apart are the creative vegan options such as vegan butter chicken and saffron coconut rice, which show the kitchen’s willingness to innovate. The artichoke cheese naan was indulgent and memorable, while the lamb rogan josh delivered a hearty, well‑spiced balance that stood out among the entrées. Each dish arrived with careful presentation, and the service was attentive without being intrusive, striking the right balance between professionalism and warmth.
The ambiance is warm and upscale, with décor that makes the restaurant suitable for both casual lunches and more formal evening dinners. The lively yet composed atmosphere encourages conversation without feeling rushed, and the staff’s attentiveness adds to the sense of hospitality. While a few dishes leaned heavy on sweetness or oil, the overall quality of the food and the breadth of the menu made the experience satisfying. Ambrosia is worth recommending to diners who enjoy Indian cuisine with a twist, especially those seeking a place that accommodates both traditional tastes and modern dietary preferences.

Came here early evening and it was relatively quiet. The menu has a good selection at reasonable prices. For entrees, we ordered Chicken Curry and requested it to be mild. We also ordered Rogan Josh, which the server told us is slightly spicy. However, both were hot spicy. We requested the curry to be ‘tamed down” in accordance with our original request for mild, but it was returned to us still spicy. We will not be eating there again.

The food was outstanding — full of authentic flavours with a creative twist. Every dish was beautifully presented, and the Aloo Tikki Chaat in particular was one of the best I’ve ever had.
Honestly, this is some of the finest Indian food I’ve enjoyed in a long time. Don’t skip the house cocktails — the Minty Guava Refresher was a real standout.
The ambiance was warm and inviting, with some lovely artwork that added to the atmosphere. Excellent customer service too. I was on a visit to Cali from the UK but I’ll definitely be coming back to Ambrosia again.
And the homemade khuwa? That was a first for me at a restaurant — absolutely delicious and not to be missed. ❤️

Aloo tiki chat was decent, it’s cold not hot. Kadhai paneer, butter chicken were okay. Onion kulcha was good, garlic naan was okay and skip the artichoke/cheese naan

Called ahead to check if they had outdoor seating for our dog, and they did! Also had big heaters which helped us stay warm on a cooler than expected night. Service was great! The food was beautifully laid out in tasteful serve ware, and tasted great. They brought out papad and dips to start, and then we got the chili paneer appetizer which was delicious. For our mains we got mango chicken, chicken tikka masala and rice. We tried the Asiago pesto naan just for fun since it’s pretty unusual to see that on a menu, and it was good although I enjoyed my lachha paratha a lot more. For dessert I tried the Himalayan khuwa, which I’ve only eaten a handful of times before and it was good. We had a lovely evening.

I recently visited this Indian restaurant and was blown away by the experience. The food was absolutely amazing—full of rich flavors, perfectly spiced, and beautifully presented. I recommend Bhindi subji as a must have. The vibe of the place was warm and inviting, with a great atmosphere that made the meal even more enjoyable. To top it all off, the service was exceptional; the staff was attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about what they do. Highly recommend if you’re looking for an unforgettable dining experience!

We dined as a party of four at this restaurant for lunch today. Upon arrival, we were given the choice to dine inside or on the patio. With the pleasant weather in Los Gatos, we opted to sit outside.
We started with the Stuffed Mushroom, Fusion Avocado Salad, and Chingari Paneer Tikka as appetizers. The starters were delicious and expertly prepared, with the paneer being particularly fresh and perfectly cooked.
For the main course, we ordered Butter Naan, Garlic Naan, Artichoke and Cheese Naan, Brown Basmati Rice, Stuffed Eggplant, Kadai Paneer, and Veggie Butter Chicken. All the dishes met our expectations and was absolutely scrumptious. The flavors were on point. The restaurant offers a great ambiance with views of the mountains, making it the perfect spot for enjoying authentic Indian cuisine. If you find yourself in Los Gatos, this restaurant is a must-visit.
The service was prompt, and the staff was exceptionally friendly, checking in on us regularly to ensure everything was to our satisfaction.

I randomly went over here for lunch with no expectations but was quite taken over by the ambience and food. I found authentic and delicious North Indian cuisine here which is a hard catch in most of the restaurants. Lived the mutter paneer, pakoda, mango chicken curry and Himalayan khoa dessert. The only downside I found was raita which was sweet and not to my liking. I prefer raita to be salty and not taste like lassi.
The service was really good too. My new go to place near my house.
