I ordered the almond flavor for my wedding cake and it was amazing! The design was exactly what I wanted! I also ordered a cheesecake last minute for my husband and it was delicious! The guests are still talking about how good it was.

Edit: Since posting this review, the owner personally reached out and refunded my purchase, which I really appreciate. I’m hopeful this was just a one-time fluke and look forward to giving Ambrosia another try.

I’ve used Ambrosia for years. They made my wedding cake and have done my daughters’ birthday cakes for as long as I can remember. We’ve always loved them, which is why this review is so hard to write.

This last experience was honestly awful. I worked with someone new, so I’m not sure if there’s been a change in management, but the cake—while pretty—was extremely dry and not edible. When a ten-year-old spits out cookie cake, you know something’s wrong.

I went back and forth on writing this because I truly do love Ambrosia. But after reaching out and emailing about the issue and never hearing back, I was even more disappointed. I drive over an hour for their cakes because we’ve always trusted and loved them. Unfortunately, after this experience, it feels like my business didn’t matter, or someone would have tried to make it right. Sadly, I won’t be returning.

We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Ambrosia Bakery in Hot Springs, Arkansas! They created the wedding cake and cupcakes for my stepdaughter’s big day, and everything was absolutely fantastic. The cake was not only beautiful but also incredibly delicious—moist, flavorful, and perfectly decorated. The cupcakes were just as amazing and a huge hit with our guests.

From start to finish, the team at Ambrosia was professional, friendly, and easy to work with. They truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, and it showed. If you’re looking for a bakery that delivers both quality and exceptional service, look no further. Highly recommend!

Stopped in for Cookies and discovered there were so many more options. Location, Atmosphere and Prices are Great! Very laid back Atmosphere, quiet and cozy. I liked the big window with the bar table where you could look out towards downtown hot springs. The Army Tank is very cool! Overall cute place to grab a bite, a sweet, and have some chill time. Will definitely be back and recommending to all my friends and family.

My blueberry danish was one of the best I’ve ever had. The vibe inside the restaurant is very relaxed and welcoming. The staff are friendly and attentive. Come here on a Saturday then hit the farmers market across the street.

We really wanted to like this bakery and perhaps it was just because we visited in the afternoon, but we spent about $50 on pastries and a pie and threw half of it away. Everything had either absorbed the aroma of the shop, or the smell of the shop comes from the pastries. Either way, it wasn’t a flavor any of us enjoyed and it overwhelmed the flavor of the baked goods.

I’ve been treated by Ambrosia since I can remember by family, friends, coworkers. But I have never gone there personally until recently and I even decided to have lunch it looked so good. So happy I did! BEST FLATBREAD HANDS DOWN- they had bbq chicken which looked tempting but the margherita was calling me and I’ve never had that flavor before. It was so good I got half of it to-go and drove it to someone I knew had to try it. I’d go back for that. Now if you enjoy sausage links, and unique ones at that, definitely try the sweet and spicy breakfast sandwich. It’s handcrafted with pineapple and on a homemade jalapeño bun- soooooo good, very filling! I loved the flavor profiles for each and so happy this place isn’t just for the sweet tooth’s out there because I am not really one. The atmosphere had a nice, open casual feel and the staff was super helpful and kind. You can tell there’s passion in this business. Will definitely be back.

Bought a key lime pie. It tasted like it had been sitting there for days, icing was chewy and too sugary, the crust was under cooked and we could hardly taste the key lime. Super disappointing. The pie was thrown out not nearly worth the calories. Walmart pies taste better and that is not saying much. On the bright side, service was great.

We were passing through on a vacation during my son’s birthday and found ourselves looking for a cake. After googling around, and trying a couple cupcake shops, it would seem Ambrosia is the only real cake shop in town. We got the chocolate peanut butter cake, and it was very pretty. Upon eating it, I kept asking my husband, “what is that really fake taste, I can’t place my finger on it?” It finally hit me, I believe it’s that peanut butter powder that tastes nothing like peanut butter. I believe the cake may have been fine, but their pb frosting kinda ruined it. I would be interested in trying a different flavor so that I could give a proper review next time we pass through. Additionally, I hope the shop takes this as constructive criticism and works on the recipe for that particular flavor, as I’ve never even had a grocery store cake with a peanut butter frosting that didn’t taste good, which is funny because the frosting is the main reason I wanted to go to an actual bakery rather than buy a grocery store cake. One of my kids actually asked me if we’re going to scrape the frosting off the rest when we get home, make good frosting, and recover it.
