We went here before seeing Taylor Tomlinson’s 930 pm show at Clowes Memorial Hall at Butler. We had plenty of time to enjoy dinner so we started with drinks and appetizers. The calamari was as expected, your typical calamari perfectly fried, crispy and tender. The steak and mushroom bruchetta was different and delicious.

My husband got the shrimp linguine and I got the halibut. Both were perfectly cooked. And a very generous piece of halibut. My pesto risotto was a little under seasoned, but I would rather it under than over. I would like to see parmesan freshly grated at the table, but our server carried a bowl with a spoon to sprinkle parmesan over our plates. And my husband and I declined as you don’t usually put parm over seafood. But after tasting my risotto, I asked for some parm on the side to add to the risotto to bring up the salt level. It worked perfectly.

The service was attentive and efficient. The restaurant was busy but we never had to wait. We ordered dessert and the tiramisu was phenomenal, as was the chocolate ball – I forget the name.

This is a gem of a restaurant and convenient for shows at Butler. We plan on returning.

The scallops were the most delicious I’ve ever had! Spinach too! My date had the swordfish which kinda surprised me since she said that’s typically a tough meat. She said the way the chefs made it, it was tender and delicious!
The only thing I did not like (nor) understand was, WHY did they seat us back in the little room next to a (loud) party of nine WHEN the main dining room was nearly empty!??
We had to nearly yell at each other just to have a conversation.
Definitely will be going back but if on date night (I don’t care if I have to wait an extra week to make a reservation) I am not going to be seated in that little room.

The gnocchi was mush with no fresh mozzarella on top, the pasta was mush not even al dente and the shrimp did not seem fresh. Mussels were fine. This is supposed to be an Italian restaurant but it was hard for me to believe if anything seemed made fresh, in my opinion the price for it just doesn’t seem correct for the quality and size.

We have enjoyed Ambrosia for decades and tonight was no exception. We think there is no better server in the world than Dave. Their food and his hospitality keep us coming back every few weeks. We love you Ambrosia and especially Dave!

Went here for a fancy date night and the venue did not disappoint. The food was delicious (we got a pesto flatbread appetizer, the Chicken Parmesan and the Salmon for the main course, and shared an affogato for dessert). Everything was amazing and the portion sizes were generous.

The staff was extremely friendly, we had McKenna and she was a rockstar, even offering to take a photo of us with some of the Christmas decor they had up.

Inside felt cozy and comfortable. The only note I have on the atmosphere is the lighting dimmed partway through the evening and there was one jarring music transition which changed the mood and volume quite a bit. Otherwise the volume was great for conversation.

I’ve been coming here 2–3 times a year for many years now, and the experience has been consistently excellent. The arancini are fantastic—the acidity of the red sauce brings a much-needed balance and really makes the dish shine. The drinks are also quite strong, which is a nice bonus.

I’ve tried most of the menu at this point, and honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything. The only issue I’ve ever had across all my visits was a fish dish that wasn’t fully deboned and had a few bones left. It wasn’t a big deal, but it did stand out simply because it’s outside the high standard I’ve come to expect from this place.

Parking can be a bit challenging. There’s a small lot in the back, but it’s usually full, so street parking out front is typically your best bet.

Outdoor seating is available, and during dinner hours the atmosphere is moderately lively—loud enough to feel energetic, but still easy to hold a conversation.

Delicious food and loved our server! Very much enjoyed and liked the overall atmosphere. Nice wine list, too.

Only complaint is that those tables are so so so so close together! We couldn’t even sit down until the server at next table was done talking to his table. No room to move. Our server, who was extremely slender, couldn’t get around or table.

Other than this issue can recommend as great place for Italian food and nice evening out.

The staff was so kind, the food was amazing! The calamari was so good, I recommend that for an appetizer. They bees signs on the doors, many people ended up walking through the back of the restaurant instead of the front. It was a little nosey and hard to have conversation with the people at the table. But over all a great experience.

Sadly: NEVER AGAIN. I’ve taken our family out to wonderful dinners here, but Saturday 12/27 was the last time. Waited 10min after reservation time for a table. Got our entrees 1hr20min after being seated. Our server kept saying, “Your food is coming right out.” Tables seated 1/2hr after us, same server, got served 1/2hr before us. Ordered wine with dinner. Had wine then an hour later dinner. Walked our toddler around restaurant 5x to keep him occupied as we waited forever. Didn’t dare order dessert and wait an eternity for that, too. AMBROSIA: You could have pretended to care. Free mini bowls of pasta at 1hr mark to tide us over? OR dessert on the house to take home? OR knock $50 off the $301 bill? Nothing. Full price check and “Sorry, there was a mixup in the kitchen.” Unforgivable. I can’t give you the chance to ruin my family’s evening again.

My boyfriend and I chose Ambrosia based on the reviews. We tried the bacon rack, Cesar salad, signature fillet, cowboy ribeye, Mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, molten lava cake, and crème brûlée. The filet was like butter. Hands down the most tender filet I’ve tried. The cowboy ribeye was a little chewy, but not enough to really complain about since everything else was fantastic. Courtney was our waitress and her service was top notch. I felt like she went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of. We will definitely be back the next time we visit Florida!
