This out-of-the-way gem is absolutely worth the drive! The food was high quality and so tasty. I had a sweet pepper, olive, and Asiago quiche, while my daughter tried the strawberry Swedish pancakes….both were superb. A small place, reservations are recommended, but the service was great so a slight wait is worth it.

Absolutely Charming! ❤️ We saw the Amboy Cottage Cafe on a Minnesota TV show a few years ago. We finally took the time to drive here for breakfast. This is the best breakfast in Minnesota! The cozy atmosphere and breakfast is perfect! The everything omelette and fresh pastries are a must try! We will be back very soon.

We heard good things about this little Cafe, so we stopped in for dinner this evening. The place has a quaint charm, very clean & “homey”. We called earlier in the day for reservations, recommended as they have 7 tables that seat from 2 to 6 people. A wonderful menu is offered. I started with a cup of the Hungarian noodle soup. It was good. For dinner I ordered the coffee rubbed steak & baked potato, delicious! My wife ordered the harvest bowl & kettle chips. They accomodated her dinner for her vegan diet. She loved it! The service was excellent as well, friendly & helpful. Great food, wonderful service and comfortable ambiance (the classical music in the background was relaxing as well). I highly recommend this little gem in quaint Amboy.

We heard about this place and wanted to check this out! I was simply amazed to find this place in such a small town in Amboy, Minnesota! This is a must go to restaurant with a unique flavor and atmosphere. Reservations are required. Covid 19 practices a must. The food was simply amazing. Nothing fried here! All homemade! I highly recommend this place! If i could give it a higher than 5 stars, I would!! I had Olive Chicken Fettuccini along with Caramel Apple Bread Pudding. Great service and very clean and unique bathroom. Art is also for sale there.

Quaint, cozy atmosphere. Delicious food and friendly service. Pizzas served Saturday evening from 5 – 8. They also had live music on Saturday evening when I was here. Small Cafe – you might want to call for reservations if it’s Saturday evening. Beautiful flowers all over. Very nice.

Service was poor. We didn’t have reservations, which I guess is an issue, but they had space and tables remained empty through our meal. We had to ask for menus, drink refills, weren’t told about specials, etc. while the waitress fawned over the other customers. The burgers were tough, lacked seasoning and were served on bread instead of buns, though we don’t think this was listed on the menu, and they are not cooked to order (all served medium well done). We won’t be going back. Not worth the price.
Nice atmosphere!

This is a cute little cafe. You need to make reservations as it is fairly small, but don’t let that turn you away. The food service and atmosphere are all very excellent!

Great place to stop at. Plan to take a little time here to enjoy the Scandinavian atmosphere. We were a group of six for breakfast and five had the Swedish pancakes. Everyone cleaned their plates. I had the Quiche and that was just the way I like it.
This is a small place and you do need to make reservations.

Incredible food with an intoxicating atmosphere. The people are so kind and inviting. This was my grandma’s favorite place to eat in Minnesota.
