We usually go to Brockton for Haitian food, but decided to try this newer location since it’s closer to where we live. We came during dinner hours and were the only customers there. We were greeted immediately, which was welcoming, and our server was very nice. She mentioned she was in training and had a trainer beside her, but she did not have a notepad to write down our order, which already made us a bit concerned.

We ordered spaghetti djon djon with hot dogs on the side and a Griot fritay platter with goat meat. The fritay platter took at least 45 minutes to come out. While waiting, we were told they had run out of hot dogs. The server offered Barbancourt-glazed wings or shrimp instead. At that point, I was already hungry and disappointed, but chose the chicken (on the side) because I needed protein with the djon djon spaghetti.

When the spaghetti finally came out, about 20 minutes later—it was regular Haitian spaghetti, not djon djon. At that point, I didn’t want to wait another hour, so I just ate it. I informed the waitress, but she never came back to follow up. The spaghetti was also cold, which made me question what was happening in the kitchen. The chicken did not pair well with the dish at all.

As for the fritay platter, the meats were flavorful, but the rice was cold on the inside and cold inside, as if it had been reheated in a microwave. Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing, from the long wait times, incorrect order, cold food, and lack of follow-up.

Would I recommend this place for Haitian food? Absolutely not. Save your time and go to Brockton, Randolph, or Dorchester!!

My sister and I visited the restaurant, and everything was just as we expected. The food service was fast and presentable. The waiter, Ernst, was wonderful. I strongly recommend this place for brunch, ordering out.

Save your time and money and avoid this place. There are way better Haitian restaurants in the Boston/South Shore area, this place simply isn’t worth it!

The place itself was a dingy spot not very appealing, and nothing close to the rich Haitian culture you’d hope for or what they have been promoting on social media . They were out of a lot of options on their menu, which made choosing a meal frustrating. The food we did get was a huge letdown. The Djon Djon spaghetti was nasty and overly salty ($23 for spaghetti that doesn’t come with meat or veggies is a JOKE), the fish was completely dry, and the Honey Barbancourt Glazed Chicken Sandwich turned out to be a tough, plain chicken breast smothered in generic barbecue sauce, far from what we expected. Even the French fries were bad…how do you mess up French fries??! The drinks were awful, you could taste they were made from those cheap powdered mix instead of real fruit juice. But, the Lalo takes the crown for being the worst thing on that menu. Very bland, very bad, very inauthentic! they couldn’t ruin it more even if they tried.

Customer service wasn’t very good either. the server seemed rushed and was forgetful. Portions were small and prices were way too high for what we received. The overall experience was a 0/5, you couldn’t pay me to go back to that place. This restaurant is a disgrace to the Haitian culture/community.

Really delicious Haitian/Caribbean food. The atmosphere was also really nice. The jerk sauce (hot) is SO TASTY. It’s made in house. If you like spicy you will love it. Everything came out fresh, the chef was so nice too.

New Haitian restaurant opened in Canton. The food was delicious especially the chicktay appetizer. Can’t wait to go back again. My cremas martini was on point.

Food was excellent. Well, Spaghetti Djon Djon was my first try. And I must say it trumps my favorite Haitian dishes. Highly recommended to all! Oh, and I added shrimps

I don’t even know where to start. The “ambience” consisted of temperatures hotter than the 90 degree weather outside. The server didn’t know a lot about the food or drinks and continually needed to double check her sources. They served me “homemade lemonade” that I watch the bartender pour from a Welch’s carton. We got plantain cups and although the plantains were hot, the meat inside was cold. We were practically done with our app by the time we got utensils. I got the boneless chicken and it was raw inside so that was great. It was so hot in the restaurant, I watched as my husband sweated onto his food. All this to say, we will never be dining here again.

Also if you notice, all their responses for 1-2 star reviews are just the same generic response. They’re not going to change their ways. They don’t care about quality. Stay far away from this place!!
