We had a group of 8 and enjoyed a relaxed time of conversation and fun! Our meals were excellent. Haddock, shrimp and wedge salad. The desserts were soooo good! Apple crisp and carrot cake were shared and tremendous, the portions were quite large so they could be shared. Linda was our hostess and took good care of us Will definitely go again.

We stopped here last night after visiting pumpkin farmsteads in Lafayette. We pulled in and noticed they had an outdoor hang out area. As we walked in bar area, we noticed a clean and friendly establishment. We decided to sit in the dining room. The tables were all marked with signs instructing to order at bar. We made our selections and ordered at bar.
Our food was brought to table by kitchen assistant. As we had no silverware, she had to go get some. A brief moment went and she returned. We ended up needing napkins, and I had to return to bar to ask bartender – who seemed annoyed / bothered by me asking.
I ordered their every weekend special Haddock Dinner. the coleslaw was bland and the fish could have used some lemon. She ordered a salad with breaded chicken. The salad was served in a stainless steel bowl that reminded me of a dog dish – presentation was mediocre at best. The chicken was a Tyson tender cut ontop if salad – not impressed.
Overall, the place has potential. I think if we sat at the bar, I would have been a bit more satisfied with service. I dine out when traveling/day trips for the food as well as the experience. I felt our visit here did not “wow” or even come close to recommending it to others. I recognize that it’s difficult to find help/staff to serve a dining room, but would been nice for bartender to just once check on us during our dining experience.

They make a really good Burger and the bar tenders are nice. It’s a good place to go on your snowmobile there is a gnarly downhill going into the back parking lot and it’s and even gnarlyier climb out but there’s a more tame trail a couple houses to the north if you follow the road sometimes the gates closed though.

I ordered the fish fry and a cup of the New England clam chowder last week for take-out and was very pleased with my meal. The fish and fries were delicious and crispy, not greasy at all and the soup was very tasty, almost like a stew with nice sized chunks of vegetables and clams. I’ll be back soon!!

Haven’t been here in about 20 years, but saw there were new owners so decided to give it a try. We had a very nice meal. My burger was huge and the fries just the way I like them. Crispy. A deal for 11 bucks. My wife’s Mac and cheese was tasty and creamy, and the cheesecake we had for dessert was nice with fresh raspberries and ice cream. Add a couple of beers and a nice meal for $40. We’ll be back

Love the Amber Inn. Great food, priced right and always a fun atmosphere. The Friday fish is always fresh and breaded the day it is served. That’s why it’s so good! Highly recommend it! It’s the neighborhood go to place!
