Called in a reservation for a party of 8 for a Friday night and they were willing to accommodate. We had an event at the attached conference center at 7:30 and arrived at 5:45 thinking there would be plenty of time. I have a feeling they don’t normally have larger groups, because in addition to it being Friday night (busier and understandable), our food did not arrive to the table until a little after 7. To their credit they made a few different gestures to apologize for the extended wait which were all very appreciated. Food was great, and prices were reasonable, but I might look elsewhere if you’re booking for a larger group. Dining area seemed best suited for groups of 4 to 5 people.

During my long-term business trip, I had breakfast here every morning. The menu was extensive, and some breads and bacon were particularly delicious. I also enjoyed occasional dinners here. The steaks and seafood were fresh and flavorful, and the portion sizes were satisfying. In the evenings, I would indulge in craft beer while enjoying live performances. The music added to the ambiance, creating special moments. The staff provided excellent service and always greeted me with a smile. My stay at the restaurants in America created unforgettable memories.

We were staying at the Holiday Inn the restaurant was located in. We both ordered the prime rib sandwich and upgraded to the au gratin potatoes which we sent back to get heated. How ever they heated them made the cheese chewy and chunky.
The restaurant is supposed to close at 10 and the bartender who is quite rude started closing up at 8:30. Removed the popcorn from the machine at that time. Eye-rolled several times. We asked if she wanted us to leave and she replied “no, there are people at a table on the other side” Fast forward to the next night. There was a blizzard but- people gotta eat. I called to see how late they were open.(Google says 10) and whoever answered said “10- no, 9:30, no, 9:00”. We went there because it was pretty much our only choice. This time, there was no popcorn. It was 7:00. We asked her to make some popcorn and she wouldn’t. She took my boyfriend’s drink away before he was done with it. He pointed it out and she was like “ oh, sorry” eye roll again. Absolutely horrible bartender. Breakfast buffet was as weak as they come. Mo bread of any sort. I asked for toast. It was the weakest thing toast I have ever had. AND- they charges me an additional $3.00 for it.

me and my friend were at the tinsel Trail vendor show as vendors we had breakfast there. It was OK we had the buffet. So we decided to order lunch. so I walked over and I placed my order with this very very nice hostess and we got 2 1/2 sandwiches with two bowls of soup. It was supposed to be a cup of soup, but we upgraded to bowls well over a half an hour to get the 1/2 sandwich of chicken salad and the soup. When they called my phone to tell me it was available. I walked over there to get it and walked back to my booth and we opened the sandwich and as you can see by the picture we were shocked. So I walked back over there with the sandwiches , we never tipped the boxes. It was exactly the way we took them out. The hostess again was very very nice and she said let me get the manager. The manager comes out and she goes. Yeah I said these are the sandwiches we ordered open the boxes and she goes , yeah those are the 1/2 sandwich? I said there’s hardly anything on it in the presentation is terrible and The terrible attitude that she had we just left. We will never eat ever again. It cost me $34 for a half a sandwich and a bowl of soup times two and a soda. I expected way better.. And I expected the manager to be a little more apologetic on the presentation the food I don’t care if it was it to go or on a plate.

We were uncertain based on the varying opinions of other reviews. We found Amber Grill to be a very good experience. The menu was varied, the prices consistent (actually we were surprised by other Stevens Point locations very high). The servers were very friendly and the service timely. The food was good and overall a great experience. We don’t know if we were lucky or others were just harsh but we had a great experience. In fact, we came back the following morning for a great breakfast experience!

We got room service to the Holiday Inn. That shouldn’t affect the quality of their food. My Filet was done perfectly. My friend specifically asked for a medium rare burger. It was well done. The dessert was not at all what was described. I was expecting better food.

My wife and I both got the fish fry. I got the pan fried and she got the deep fried. It was good but it wasn’t great. In my opinion, they needed to add some spices or seasonings to the batter and to the pan fried fish. It was kind of bland

My spouse and I came here to eat 3 months ago after our wedding for a small reception. They offered to be able to do it on very short notice. The servers were amazing and the food was so delicious. We came again tonight and were not disappointed! Our server was super attentive, everything was cooked to perfection, and we were able to have a relaxing meal. I can’t say enough about this place and the memories they’ve helped to make so far. We will continue to recommend this place to others! Also, don’t skip out on the dessert, you’ll regret not grabbing a slice of cake!

Sarah is a very good hostess/waitress/busser. She was very prompt and friendly. I didn’t have to wait for anything and felt right at home. To be fair, I was alone in the restaurant, but lots of servers would still be far less attentive.
The decor is really nice. Big chandeliers, dark wooden furniture with shiny brown padding.
The breakfast was well-prepared and plentiful, albeit just your average breakfast food. Elsewhere in Wisconsin, you’d pay a lot less, but I think that’s how they pay for the fancy interior.
All around, it’s a good value, given that experience is part of what you pay for. The Holiday Inn and Amber Grill are worth a stay.

The staff are great.
The breakfast menu is reasonable with plenty to offer. Occasionally they do a breakfast buffet, which is very good.
We are not impressed with the bar however.
Is it safe bet to order beer,
But we have found the mixed drinks and the specialty drinks to be weak and overpriced.
We have tried them several times, and a variety of drinks including simple mixed drinks..
And they have disappointed every time.
So I recommend sticking with beer.
