I do not like the atmosphere, good thing there were no other customers. The service was great, my granddaughter asked if they gave bread with the 10pc to fish order and I don’t know what he said. But , we feel bread or rolls should come with the order.

I got the rice once. It was over seasoned and salty. Who puts raw seasonings on rice after cooking it? Gross.

I was told the chicken was absolutely delicious but for me it was not. It was greasy but the catfish was the winner, delicious and not greasy at all. I would return for the fish.

I heard so many nice things about this “CRACK chicken”. A friend of mine wanted to go there.
Took the 20 min drive, arrived to a run down little place which was discouraging- but i wanted to give the place a try. I ordered a 8 piece. Came home and ate a few wings it was delicious, 20 min later, then came the headache, diarrhea, flatulance, and stomach cramps. I was down for the count besides having to run to the toilet.. I Still have a headache and I am pissed off. Ladies and gentlemen – i know food poisoning when i see it. There are no more chances from me

Food is good everytime I go there. Never had a problem. Just remember if you’re going to order fish preferably the catfish over the phone. They make it when you come there so it can made fresh, which I like. I usually get the wing n catfish comb with fries

I wanted some fried whiting so, I ordered the #73 which is 2 pieces of whiting, 4 medium shrimps, rice or French fries;I opted for the rice which was seasoned very good and a can soda. I ordered over the phone on a Friday evening and by the time I got there it was just done and all I had to do was pay and pick out my can soda. The young lady behind the counter was very friendly and pleasant!! I will be coming back to try the catfish.. GREAT FIRST IMPRESSION AMBASSADORS OF NEWARK!!

The food is very tasty. They are always very busy. There is no sit-in dining. You have to pay for a cup of ice full price as the price of a cup of soda. But, there are other small businesses that also do this to be fair. They are a little pricey. It’s not too bad.

Typically loved getting food from this location. Today I came in with a friend because I wanted her to try the food and give them a new customer. Upon sitting and waiting I look at the corner of my eye and see something move . When I looked further it was a ROACH ! We scurried off to stand and honestly I was disgusted and didn’t even want to eat my food. Once our order was ready we left and threw the food out because we were definitely grossed out. And on top of that we asked for lemon pepper tenders but instead we got plain tenders either way, it went into the garbage ️. I wish I would have asked for a refund but I was just mortified.

I absolutely love the fried catfish. It is so good. I like the chicken wings too. It can be hit or miss as far as the size and fresh fried batch of wings but I love the way they taste all the same.
I prefer to order in person. Ordering online for pickup is a bit longer for than ordering on the spot. Also I wish they had better side choices to accompany the fish/chicken.
My family lives in the Bronx and every time I go visit, I have to bring fish and chicken with me when leaving NJ.
I will keep coming back and I do recommend that anyone give the a try.
