I had a great experience. I wanted some fried whiting so, I ordered the #73 which is 2 pieces of whiting, 4 medium shrimps, rice or French fries;I opted for the rice which was seasoned very good and a can soda. I ordered over the phone on a Friday evening and by the time I got there it was just done and all I had to do was pay and pick out my can soda. The young lady behind the counter was very friendly and pleasant!! I will be coming back to try the catfish.. GREAT FIRST IMPRESSION AMBASSADORS OF NEWARK!!

The food in this place is Exactly what is causing the most disastrous health effects for the people in the area. This area is basically a food desert. You can’t find anything to eat in the vicinity that is even remotely good for you or that isn’t contributing to Bad Health.

My boyfriend ordered us chicken from this location tonight 6-10-23 (which we have ordered from here plenty of times before) well tonight I was mortified. I took a bite out of a chicken wing and right away it tasted like it was rotten. Spit it out and had my boyfriend smell it incase I was bugging. Well by the face he made and him saying it stunk that was my confirmation. That chicken was rotten. I’m very upset. Now it’s after hours and they are closed. Just disgusting. I thought I was going to puke from the taste. It was horrible. Never again. Yall need check yall chicken or anything for that matter before you cook/sell it.

I am extremely devastated and LIVID about what I experienced TODAY (SATURDAY, APRIL 15, 2023 – CLINTON AVE. LOCATION)!!! I arrived at Ambassador to pick up an online order. Upon check-out, I saw something crawling on the bag. I told the cashier & she backed up (hmm) – but whatever it “was” rapidly disappeared, so I dismissed it as a fly, maybe – especially since it’s been warm out. I walked out with my bag but had an inclination to check the food for accuracy when I reached the car, and LORD, A BIG ROACH CAME SCURRYING out of the bag of food! I AM DEVASTATED & I FEEL VIOLATED! I HAVEN’T SEEN A ROACH IN YEARS!! This ain’t COMMON FOR ME!!! Their reaction to my complaint when I immediately returned was not what it should have been. No apologies, explanation or show of remorse – just blank. I did get my money back after one of the workers pretended to not know what happened although he was present the entire time! This was the absolute worst experience for me eating out.

I really do love it so much right now and never going to let that delicacy go. Sharing is truly caring along with the cake and the crumbs. When the GOODWILL RESCUE MISSION reopens after a temporary March 2020 closure, a full course meal from the restaurant would be a blessing.
