Me and my family come from San Francisco to eat here quite often. Whenever we desire tasty food, this restaurant is our first option. The food is great, it is very delicious. The sesame chicken is very golden brown, crispy and tasty. I highly recommend broccoli beef, orange chicken, combination fried rice, and combination chow mein. The atmosphere is also very calm and relaxing. I highly recommend this restaurant for a family lunch and dinner.

I recently visited this welcoming place whose staff was both prompt and attentive, and started with a nice Hot and Sour soup and some crispy and freshly made appetizers – Gyoza and Spring rolls. I followed up with the best Chicken salad I’ve ever had, the chicken tender and crispy and the vinaigrette perfectly tangy! This clean and spacious restaurant and its simple and tasty menu is a true find in downtown San Carlos and already does a brisk takeout business. If you’re looking for a nice place to enjoy great Chinese food and friendly service, Amazing Wok on Laurel St is the place to go!

I just had the vegetarian sweet and sour chicken and it was delicious! They served a complimentary soup that was vegetarian too, but they also have plenty of meat dishes for any non-vegetarians who’d like to eat here. The food came out quickly, and the serve Coco was super helpful!

Little bummed that’s for sure. I’ve never had soggy beef and broccoli before. Like the cornstarch coating was soggy and maybe not even cooked? Maybe the oil was cold? It was very bad. Had to toss it.
Atmosphere was also rated low because the prep kitchen seemed to have moved into the dinning room. I don’t want to see raw meats and green beans being prepped next to the door dash pick up area.
Large portions though.
Customer service was great!
I would actually like a refund which I do not think I’ve ever asked for in my life.

First time visit to this wonderful restaurant. Since my favorite restaurant closed in San Mateo, I’ve been searching for a new restaurant. After trying 4 other locations, I found one.
The food was prepared exactly as I requested, and each appetizer, soup, salad, and three meals used fresh ingredients and tasted perfectly.
It might be a small, out of the way location in San Carlos – the service, food quality, and reasonable pricing, beats all others. They now have a new, regular customer.

We are here today 11/20/25 and order for their lunch special. I have a salt and pepper fish and my wife got a shrimp with string beans it was yummy. Great service. Food is delicious..definitely will be back again.

They have vegetarian chicken dishes!! Pretty much never see that at any local Chinese spots. Chow fun is good and so are the green beans. I always get to go and it is very quick. I love this place!

Here’s my review of Amazing Wok. I came here on Sunday evening 745pm
I dined in. I had General Chos Chicken and steamed rice and a sprite.
1. Food- I ordered and waited approx 10 minutes. The food that I ordered came out hot and fresh. The chicken had sliced in onions, ginger, and garlic, which was delicious
2. Service was not perfect but good. I did not know what to order, but the lady that served me stayed at my side and answered questions about the menu.
3. The atmosphere was good. I’m giving it 4 stars because there were lots of dirty tables. The staff came out while I waited for my food and cleaned everything.
My overall impression was good. I will return to Amazing Wok.

They have really delicious food especially the Chicken Chow Mein, Beef Chow Mein, Pork Fried Rice, and the Pot Stickers no question I would recommend this restaurant every time. Also, the customer service is fantastic nice work.
