This used to be my go to Chinese spot. I dunno what happened this time but I ordered $37 worth of food and one of the items, a large sweet and sour chicken, is literally inedible. The batter on the chicken is so hard I can barely bite into it. My dog is even having a hard time chewing thru it. Not to mention, the chicken inside must have been sitting in the batter for a long period of time. Definitely not fresh. ♂️

This is my favorite takeout Chinese restaurant in Albany for the past 7 years. I’m sad that they no longer make moo shu and I’ve had to go to other restaurants to get it but none compare to amazing wok. My favorite dishes are House egg foo young, fried chicken wings, crab Rangoon, sesame chicken, chicken on a stick, Singapore rice noodles, & fried pork dumplings. You won’t be disappointed with any of these dishes. Enjoy!!

Do not order from these people if you are African-American, I don’t even live a mile away then they tell me I have to order from GrubHub or somewhere, but I told you I wanted delivery but when I told you that I lived so a certain place then you wanted to make me pay for a delivery. I ordered a quart of rice from the restaurant and walked over just for them to tell me they only accepted cards for a $10 minimum. I told them I would be back and the cashier said “ok.” I ran home and came back in 6 minutes – only 5 minutes after closing (mind you, my rice was already made) & I come to the door. She tells me they’re closed even though they are still in there and my rice was done. I called and she watched me as she rejected it. If you’re looking for decency, try somewhere else.

So I ordered Chinese food from another place last night, and the difference in quality between Amazing Wok and this other place was so great, I felt the need to come write a review for Amazing Wok. I love this place, they’ve been a staple since I moved to Albany in 2017. Lo mein is always incredible and fried rice equally so, the wonton soup hits the spot every single time, gyoza/dumplings are great fried or steamed, egg rolls have just a little too much of the roll itself (see edit) but are easily best in Albany. Delivery is ALWAYS 25 minutes or less after you hang up the phone. I’ve tried several other Chinese food places over the years but Amazing Wok stands head and shoulders above everything else I’ve tried. Thank you to the servers and cooks

Not nice at all she always has bad attitude afternoon but last time ordering will not deal with disrespect and I’m spending my money.
