When Amaya opened its doors in June 2007, the idea was simple: demonstrate that Indian food served in a modern way could still stay true to its roots. We use high-quality raw ingredients with classic Indian cooking methods. We have a small menu compared to other Indian restaurants. We plan to keep a focused menu, but will consider additions that we think make sense.

I dined here yesterday and it completely exceeded my expectations. With most places closed on New Year’s Eve, this restaurant was open and serving up some incredible food. The staff were incredibly friendly and provided top-notch service throughout the evening.
As someone who has struggled to find halal Indian cuisine outside of the GTA, I was thrilled to discover that this restaurant offered a halal menu. The fact that they were open late and still serving up high-quality dishes was a huge bonus.
The food itself was outstanding. The flavors were rich and authentic, and the portions were extremely generous. I left feeling completely satisfied and already looking forward to my next visit.
Overall, I couldn’t have been more impressed with my experience at this restaurant. Thank you to the entire staff for an unforgettable evening. I can’t wait to come back again soon.

Delightful experience overall. Friendly staff, enticing menu that did not disappoint with extraordinary flavours and quality cuts of meat. The pieces of meat in each dish were large, tender and very nice cuts. Restaurant is busy in the evening. Unfortunately, I felt that the frequency of Skip the Dishes delivery drivers took away from our intimate dinner/date when they came and left through the restaurant during our meal. We also noticed that the portions were smaller (two samosas instead of prior serving of three) and prices have also increased.

We ordered from Skip, the food was so great, I had to hide my leftovers from hubby & son. The flavors were amazing. I hope to get there in person real soon. For a change, this was well worth the MONEY

We heard lot about this place so went for dinner and we found amazing place and location at downtown Burlington
Wonderful ambience, attendant prince was humble and welcome us with smile , owners also came and greeted us
Order and food delivery was very efficient
Food was too good , i am vegetarian so ordered starters pakora and cauli chatpata it was superb. Aslo order jaljeera – softdrink it was awesome
Main course included kashmiri naan and sweet and sour eggplant curry ( was slight sour which was replaced with good tasty curry later ) with steam rice
Overall it was wonderful experience and looking forward to come again and absolutely recommend everyone to visit

Loved the food here and the hospitality was great. Chicken Briyani was awesome. Tandoori chicken is highly recommended. Naan was fluffy and soft.

Great indian food. We tried black pepper chicken. It was spicy and delicious, just like we wanted. Not too much spice as well. The Garlic naan was well done, soft but not enough for 2 people ( as suggested by the server). Check it out, its very close to the waterfront as well. The ambience is very modern. Street side parking.
