Last night however was the best the food has been by tenfold. The staff from Jared to Amanda (who has been on location for years now and knows every guest by name), are always ready to host you as if they were welcoming you into their own home.
Amato Jr. has spent every day for the last several years overseeing all food prep in the early morning and has recently altered the recipe for their marinara sauce. The flavor has a less acidic after taste and is incredibly pleasant and aromatic. You would think it was made by Nona.
Angelina has recently taken helm of the kitchen and has a finer understanding of tasting than many renowned chefs in both Boston and NYC. Upon arrival she recommended a new Bean Bruschetta. The dish was the closest thing to Tuscany I have tasted since a month of traveling Italy in the early fall. It was one of the greatest gifts I’ve received of flavor in a long time. (Think the ending scene of Ratotile for example). Her talent is undeniable and I highly recommend anyone who dines to try the dish if it is an available special.
The heart of the business however is owner Kasia. Since I was in my early teens (if not earlier), Kasia has been the soul of this business. A hug from her and a warm hello could make any first time guest a life long patron. She is the glue to a beautiful family whose traditions will keep them a Hobe Sound staple for many years to come.
As the General Manger of several restaurants in Boston I can not speak higher of what their food quality has become. Their commitment to the freshest ingredients and preparation. I only get to visit when I come to town on the rare occasion but when I do, it is the first place I need to fill my stomach.
Whether you are a first time diner or it’s been some time since your last visit, I encourage you to visit Amato’s again. They are the best they have ever been and I consider myself blessed to have been there from the start. I look forward to returning for my next visit hungry for more.
After another six months of Amato’s experiences, I’m officially considering naming my next child Amato Clark.

This place is a 10/10. The family, the atmosphere, and the quality of the food couldn’t be better.
If you’re looking for 20-person tables and instant seating, make a reservation at Carrabba’s and save the complaints for somewhere else. This is a hometown gem.

CLARKY.
My meal wasn’t half bad but that price is absurd. I did ask for a different sauce on my pasta. The waiter said that the chef was particular about a different sauce and there would be an upcharge. They wouldn’t do Alfredo but did do vodka sauce. Upcharge for a different sauce on a side pasta…$10.
Kids didn’t like the pizza, left hungry and went back to eat again.
Oh and it’s probably a health code violation to not have a functioning bathroom. They said “well thankfully he’s a boy so he can go outside” as I walked my child outside to pee in the grass. Also overheard them mess up the pizza order with the table behind us. Awful.
Came back and got a Stromboli.
Now THATS a strom! And Amanda was great!
