Nice guy runs this place. I’m happy they’re still in business.
It’s not far off I-95, and it’s great not having to get off in New Haven. If you’re driving from Boston to NYC, this is a perfect place to stop.

Amato’s has the best pizza outside of New Haven, in my opinion!
I enjoy watching the One Bite videos and have tried all the spots around Madison, and this one is my absolute favorite.
I often mix it up and order a different pie each time I order from here and it’s always delicious. My wife often orders the tomato and fresh garlic pie on a gluten free crust which may produce the best aroma of any pizza in the world!
I highly recommend Amato’s if you want a delicious and consistent pizza experience.

Took a ride up here with my wife on my motorcycle unaware how fast they sell out of pizza on a Friday night. They were super accommodating and snuck one in for us. Great food and great people!!! If you’re coming or ordering on a Friday/Saturday call ahead unlike I did. 5 stars.

The pizza here is so delicious! Tried the clams casino pizza and was very impressed. Amato’s pizza is the best around and I would highly recommend giving it a try, if you haven’t already!

Decent medium to thin crust, good toppings and good sauce. In many places this would be the best pizza in the state, but we are very picky about pizza around here! The best pizza is made in New Haven and we have lots of decent pizza places near here.
The owner and staff have always been helpful, the pizza is on time, the place is clean and the prices are about the same as other pizza places in the area. This is a good place to try.
