Great food- better than the larger chain sub places. Ready fast and still better prices. A small Amato sub is nearly a 12” sub at the green and yellow place! The large hot sausage sub with peppers was delicious. The cold tuna sub is the best sub they have- plenty of tuna and lots of veggies. Bread is delicious. We ordered a couple of meatballs to try as well. They were great. The prices are very reasonable and you can order pickup and they are ready on time if not early! Way to go!

My friend that I was visiting took me by “the best sandwich shop” he said, in the area. I definitely cannot disagree. It was way better than any Subway that I have personally been. I also bought my first whoopie pie there. I can see why everyone loves them so much. I will definitely stop back by when I come through. Some cute girls work there as well 🙂

Love the original Italian Sandwich is a must have while in Maine. We get them on the way into Maine and again on the way outta Maine. I can remember my dad stopping at India st and paying 60 cents a sandwich.

Went tonight and ordered 2 Italians one with extra pickle and olive only and one with extra tomato green pepper and pickle only and when i got home and opened my food I was given 2 regular italians with no extra veggies and the veggies i said I did not want. When taking my order the guy repeated back to me exactly what i had said so im not sure why my order was messed up. now im left unimpressed when i ordered almost 70$ worth of food.

We stopped by here for lunch on our way back to Portland from Brunswick. This restaurant is a Maine thing and popular restaurant chain. I had sandwich and my friend had gluten free pizza. They have a lot of options on the menu. The staff are really nice. They have only one bathroom. The food are okay and I recommend to add extra oil and cheese for sandwiches. Otherwise it looks dry.

We eat here when we come to Maine, it’s good and we know what we’re getting. Yesterday I walked in and ordered two sandwiches and a pasta..I waited 34 minutes for the food. The place was mostly empty. What I saw was online and phone orders being prioritized over walk in customers — so even though I was sitting there waiting there were 20-30 orders made before mine for people that weren’t there. It was super annoying and pretty disappointing.

Pulled a long hair from my Italian there last week!! It was tangled around a pickle. Simply disgusting!!! Nearly caused all of us eating your food to barf. Been long time customers but can’t see ourselves eating there again.
