We’ve not had a perfect dining experience in a long, long time!
We began with salads, then gnocchi dishes and finally dessert. Everything was perfect. Service was paced perfectly. Our salads were large and tossed lightly in house dressing. The house-made gnocchi was delicate with wonderful tasting red sauce (dish 1) and pesto creme sauce (dish 2). Portions were just right. Dessert consisted of chocolate layer cake (dense and rich) and pistachio cake (light and airy).
The atmosphere and decor was comfortable and much nicer than the exterior signaled.
I could add more adjectives to this review but why try when the precise description is simply; perfect.

Oh my goodness was this place a wonderful find!!! The atmosphere was comfortably elegant with the light touch of holiday decorations. The food, yum so many homemade pasta 3 different versions of gnocchi and papardelle with the lobster the we skipped appetizers so we could ensure there was room for dessert. The tiramisu didn’t last long enough for a proper picture.

Easily the best dining experience I’ve ever had in Guilford… this restaurant has excellent food and service, my waiter’s name was Brian and he was maybe the best waiter I have ever had… the food was exceptional! The combination of great service and great food made this a wonderful dining experience that makes me look forward to coming back here soon! I just can’t say enough!

Really good experience. I met a friend for dinner and had a really good time. There’s bar seating, high top tables near the bar and also a restaurant side. It’s a good atmosphere. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. They have a lot of great choices on the menu. Both of our meals were delicious! It’s a popular place so you’re probably better off making a reservation. It’s easy to get to as it’s across the street from the town green.

Fantastic food. These fries are now the fries to which I will compare all future fries. Crispy, flavorful, soft and airy on the inside. In a word, perfect. The steak was also fantastic, as was my wife’s. The spinach was amazing as well. If you’re in the area, try it. Definitely worth it.

My absolute favorite restaurant in the area! Their cannolis (my favorite) are to die for along with their other desserts so save room! there is excellent service, All their food is delicious and fresh. The chicken dish I always get is unbelievable (in picture). The atmosphere in the restaurant is perfect, and so was the service!

We were visiting Guilford for the day from the Midwest and wandered into Amarone without knowing what to expect. Our two meal’s (filet and Chilean sea bass) were fabulous. The service was tremendous. Atmosphere was relaxing and friendly. We will dine here again at the first opportunity when we return to the area. You could hear other diners saying how wonderful their food tasted.

Fantastic lunch! We sat at the bar and the tender (John) was welcoming and served us well. The place was lightly busy for a Tuesday lunch and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. I had a vodka soda followed by Peroni- both were served in cold clean glasses and delicious. I had the Chicken Parmesan as a base tester and my friend had the parpadelli. Both were preceded by fresh warm bread with olive oil & balsamic. The portions were perfect for lunch and left us filled, happy, and able to go back to work without being bogged down. I plan on going back for dinner as soon as I can!

We just celebrated our anniversary here! Wanted to try a new place and Amarone’s did not disappoint. Our waiter was really nice and refilled my water, which is a big plus for me, and the food was delicious. My husband and I shared the mussels appetizer, and they had a zucchini flowers with goat cheese special which was so good! For dinner my husband had the rack of lamb (on the specials too) which he loved, and I got the gnocchi Genovese which I really enjoyed. They also have half priced wine bottles on Mondays, so we got one too! Loved this restaurant and we will definitely be back!
