Reviews
The menu had a lot of choice and the food was absolutely delicious, especially port milanese and a seafood appetizer.
The owner, Sandro, was there to greet everyone. He is very friendly, pleasant, and knowledgeable.
The prices were very affordable as well.
Overall, Amarone is a true gem. Whether you are looking for a romantic event, a family gathering, or just a great mea, this place delivers on every level. I can’t wait to come back!
It was concert night for Buddy, my grandson, and I and we were in search of a new fine dining restaurant. We were driving down Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood and Buddy sees this little tiny Brown building and says let’s look. He sure knows how to pick them. Turns out to be an Italian restaurant with everything made from scratch, no preservatives, no sugar, just amazing food. They even make their own bread.
We walked in, parking is on the street and they might have valet at night, I don’t know. We were the first ones there. They were not even open yet, but we did not know and we walked in. The sweetest, most adorable young man asked us where we would like to sit. The place is so pretty, but small. We told him to put us where ever he wanted. We were starting to realize the place was just about to open. The waiter took us upstairs to the most wonderful table near a window. He asked what we might want to drink and gave us menus. Their menu is not huge. Again, they make everything from scratch.
We were brought warm Italian bread and it was so great. I asked about it and they make it right there as they do everything. It was amazing.
For entrees we had ravioli and a wonderful pasta filled with shrimp, clams and mussels in a red sauce. It was so great, my grandson was “sharing” my food. Again, all made there, to order, by scratch.
For dessert we had the best Tiramisu I have ever had in my life.
As the place began to fill I could see wonderful dishes going by. The waiter was kind to my grandson and gave us all the time we wanted. It was just a wow experience and I have been to most of the Italian places in Hollywood. I can’t wait to bring my husband. He is going to love it.
On the way down the stairs an adorable man took my check and card. It turned out he is the owner. He is Italian and all of these receipts are his. I think he might have “borrowed” a little from his grandmother and mother and added some of his own. I could tell he loved his little fine dinning place. He was so sweet–photo attached.
You must go there. You just must.
The food is fresh and tasty, being coocked with a touch of the chef.
Main dishes are not big, so don’t count on sharing.
The food was amazing, drinks were good and dessert was out of the world
Surprisingly they don’t have any chicken option so that was a bummer but nonetheless they have enough option to still enjoy
Their tiramisu is best I have had so far, definitely worth trying
11/22/25 My second visit and it was just as calm, delicious and pleasant as the first.
Sandro, the owner, gave my friend and I some of his time to talk, just as he had on our first visit. My friend dropped their knife and immediately she was brought a clean one. This attention to the customer is what makes Amarone a restaurant of note. I’m sure I will be back.
