Reviews
The Thai dishes here hit the mark for comfort food. Curries like green or Panang are flavorful and rich without being overwhelmingly spicy, and the noodles (like Pad See Eiw or Drunken Noodles) have a nice balance of savory and sweet. The sushi isn’t just an afterthought either — rolls like the spicy salmon or futomaki pop with fresh fish and clean rice.
Service feels friendly and attentive; staff are approachable and will help if you’re unsure what to order. The atmosphere is casual and laid-back — great for a post-work dinner or a relaxed weekend lunch.
On the flip side, consistency seems to vary a bit depending on the day or dish, and it’s not the most elevated Thai or sushi experience in the city. But for the price and variety, it’s a solid choice if you want good food without fuss.
Overall: not the most upscale spot in Chicago, but tasty, welcoming, and dependable — especially if you want both Thai and sushi without splitting up the group.
Amarit is flavorful! It’s nothing short or delicious. I love Thai food, but coming here is a joy. The atmosphere is standard but the food is dynamite. The service is always good. They’re quick but not so helpful with menu questions. It’s 50/50. Our favorite appi is the shrimp cakes. Oh my goodness I wish I had them all my life. We also always get the thai basil chicken too. It’s basically a chopped chicken packed with flavor, on the spicy side. I love it. Last time I also took one to go. This last visit was my first time trying their sushi. Mam, I was not disappointed! We.ate the Pink Lady & the Spicy Tuna. Each of us found the other the one we enjoyed most. The cocktails are yummy too. The Duck Curry is by far my fave entree. I’d never had Curried duck before.Amarit, and im so glad they serve it! Delicious! Amarit is great for.any occasion. They even have an area where ypu could hold a small get together. It’s a great place and there’s always parking.
The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere felt relaxed and comfortable. It’s a great spot for a casual lunch or dinner in the South Loop.
The atmosphere isn’t anything spectacular. Kind of your typical mom and pop place, which is not a bad thing!! Just not a place if you’re trying to get wowed by their decor or anything.
We only ordered two entrees but they were SO flavorful and delicious! I got the Pad See Eiw and my boyfriend got the Panang Curry. If you like Curry chicken, you have to try this. The amount of different flavors and spices you get from this dish is amazing. It has a slight kick to it, so if you also like spicy you’ll love this.
The owners are very sweet people, and so hospitable. Highly recommend this hidden gem if you’re in the area 🙂
(Also, this is definitely a place I would order from for takeout for a hangover cure )
