So, my roommate and I were ignored at a restaurant down the street. When asked where should we go now. I said “I still want Indian food.” So we came to Amar. And we’re we ever glad we did…. The atmosphere and decor are not super great but the person serving was nice, had a smile and was happy to answer our questions as well as bring us water with our even asking. His very welcoming energy helped us calm down we ordered the same exact order we would have made at the previous restaurant veg pakura, garlic naan x2, rice, butter chicken and goat curry. All of the food was unbelievable. We are going back for sure and this is officially my new Indian spot. Friends well be brought here and family too.

The food was great. We got take out. The service was fine. The inside had one person at the bar area and one family dining in a booth. There was no one to greet me so I felt a little lost and walked into the other room on the right to see if I could find someone to help me. No one popped up. I asked the person sitting at the bar if that was where I waited and he said a man will be out shortly to help me. The person with my order came out about 8-10 minutes later. The dining areas felt stuffy and the other room on the right seemed like a storage area or maybe an over flow for extra chairs and miscellaneous items.

Excellent! Food is fresh! Excellent portions and I always order Goat Curry and normally get 4 or 5 pieces. They gave generous portions. I had to take all of it home. Definitely supporting this place.

Great and authentic Indian food here in Fairfield. Service was also fantastic. Our little guy was having a spicy attack and the server came to the rescue with a smoothie to help him out. Will definitely come back.

The food was delicious, the quantities were generous and the price reasonable. The drinks ( mango lassi, rose falooda, masala soda) were refreshing. The chicken korma and bhindi masala were delicious. The rotis were soft and tasty. Highly recommend this place.

Stopped here for lunch, enjoyed the aloo paratha, it was fresh and delicious. Also had jeera rice with Chole saag. That was tasty too, portions were ok. Service good, ambiance good.
