This restaurant was recommended by a friend, so we decided to check it out on a Sunday afternoon (March 1st). The space itself is beautiful, with great ambiance and both indoor and outdoor seating that create a very pleasant atmosphere. Our server was attentive and provided good service.
Unfortunately, the food did not meet our expectations. We started with the calamari appetizer. It was presented very nicely, and I even took a photo of it, but when I began eating, I found two long strands of hair wrapped in the calamari. This was very off-putting. The restaurant was not particularly busy at the time, so it was disappointing that the dish had not been checked more carefully before being served. The experience made me lose my appetite, and I chose not to have the dish remade.
For my entrée, I ordered the spaghetti bolognese. While the presentation was appealing, the flavor was quite bland. My partner ordered the pepperoni pizza, which unfortunately was very greasy. The one highlight of the meal was the cappuccino, which was delicious.
Considering the price we paid, the food quality did not feel up to par. While the ambiance and service were nice, the overall dining experience was disappointing, and I don’t think I would return.

For those of you who came and enjoyed your experience here, I am happy for you and when you go back I hope it is equally as good or better. For us, it was quite different….I was out walking on the beach the other day with my girl and this place looked nice from the outside, so we decided to give it a try. We quickly regretted our decision and it wasn’t just one thing, it was everything. We are typically not picky eaters by any means and quite honestly we never leave reviews, but I would really feel like I am doing a disservice if I didn’t inform others about our experience here. First, we ordered calamari and it showed up with a couple large, black hairs entangled in it. We sent it back and no longer wanted calamari. We also ordered meatballs for an appetizer. These meatballs were very strange, unlike any I have ever had and I love a good meatball. These had a weird, uncooked feel in the middle. It’s like the outside was cooked, but the inside was not…I’m not sure how else to describe them. They just tasted weird. I love Italian and wanted to try different things, so we also ordered a small pepperoni pizza to try, a rigatoni with bolognese sauce and a spaghetti bolognese. I wished I would have ordered a different sauce to try, because I swear this was the first time in my life of 48 years that I have had to add salt to my pasta just to have any kind of flavor whatsoever. I wish I was exaggerating, but I have never had flavorless pasta sauce like this before. My rigatoni looked good, just lacked any kind of flavor at all. The spaghetti my girl ordered, unfortunately had the same bolognese and was equally horrible. The pizza was the only saving grace here, but even that was mediocre at best and came with pools of grease inside each curled pepperoni. The sad part about this place is that it has all the ingredients of a nice Italian beach restaurant. Beautiful decor, great location right by the beach, nice little bar (half outside, half inside), plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the beautiful weather. It just lacks the most important ingredient of all….good food. Hopefully they improve and soon, or I fear they will not survive here. I am adding photos here but looks can be deceiving because the food actually looked good, but just wasn’t. Lastly the service was not the issue with this place, the food was my only complaint. Wishing you all a better experience than we had…

The restaurant was very busy and lively with an hour waitlist. Luckily I had a reservation. Staff was friendly. They have fresh bread for the table. All our 4 dishes were flavorful! Will be back to try more!

Excellent spot! The staff is always friendly, the bartenders are great, and the food is fresh, flavorful, and comes out fast even when they’re busy. They remodeled the old burger place beautifully. It’s not cheap, but the quality is worth every dollar. Highly recommend!

This was our first time to Amante’s since they reopened in their new spot. It was amazing. The atmosphere and service was top notch. Our waitress, Olivia, was 10 stars. The food was amazing and would go back every night if I could. Will definitely return the next time we’re visiting Deerfield Beach.

The best Italian in all of south florida. Walking into this restaurant makes you feel like you’re eating a home-cooked Italian meal. The owner’s Bob, Nunzio and Cris truly care about the customers experience. The chicken parm with alla vodka sauce is out of this world and the pizza is the only one in Florida that is truly New York style. Isabella and Candace made me one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to go back:)

New location! Omg… what a beautiful place they got now! During this training week we had such a great experience. Cold drinks, great food and amazing service! Candice was awesome! The Trastevere Pizza and the Scallops wrapped in prosciutto were so good! Highly recommend these options.

Our first time dining in the new Amante’s location was perfect. The outside Dining patio was magical with lighted trees & small table lights that created an intimate feel plus it has much more room for the live music and dancing. Our food was served quickly and tasted amazing. Our Waitress Nicole was OUTSTANDING!! She was attentive, funny and provided flawless service. She made the evening unforgettable!! On our flight home We were still talking about the great family dinner we had at Amante’s and how that meal was the highlight for our trip to Florida. I highly recommend trying the restaurant and definitely request Nicole for your server !!!

Amantes Italian Restaurant is a true gem. Family owned and operated for over 50 years, it’s clear they take pride in both their food and service. The restaurant has been beautifully renovated—brand new, elegant, and very welcoming—with an excellent wine menu to match the outstanding food.
We dined as a large group of 17 adults and 2 toddlers and chose a family-style menu. Every dish came out hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious, which is no small feat for a party that size.
Olivia, our server, took amazing care of us. Derek went above and beyond helping me put together a menu that checked all the boxes across every food category. Nunzio made sure everything ran smoothly and ensured we received top-notch service from start to finish.
An outstanding experience all around. Highly recommended, and we will definitely be back.
