Absolute gem for people with gluten intolerance. We had a very hard time finding a place for our kids to eat on this trip and amangelas was GREAT! Delicious and kid friendly with a lot of choices! Loved the ham and cheese and their tomato soup ! We will be hitting it for the 3rd time on our way back home! I do hope they add gluten free bagels because those looked really good!

Laid back, casual, and quick breakfast and lunch place!
Homemade foccacia bread was incredible. I had the pesto mayo chicken sandwich and it was delicious. We ate breakfast here the next day too. So good! Bread and bagels taste so fresh!

Amangela’s is a nice spot in downtown big bear for lunch. I’m a little torn because $18 for a sandwich is pretty steep, and the wait for food was about 30 minutes despite not being busy. Other than that the staff were friendly and atmosphere was nice. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating in the shade which is a plus! Good place to come with a family because of all the options.

Tried for the first time today and for a Tuesday afternoon, its a busy place. My daughter had a sandwich and rated it a 4 outta 5 stars. For comparison, Old Town Bakery in San Bernardino and Rancho Cucamonga is her fave. I had the vegan chili and it was SO GOOD. I give it 5 stars. It’s a bit pricey here but no more than most places and its quality. I was given baked bread with my chili and it seems homemade and is delicious. It’s a nice little spot to dine in at and there’s a decent amount of seating for a sandwich shop. I’ll remember this spot when we are here.

A bit pricey for what you get, but the real issue is that it took more than 45 minutes to get my soup and sandwich. There was no line when I got there and it wasn’t crowded. I just wish they told me it’d be a long wait before I ordered…and the soup was room temp when I finally got it too.

Every time we passed this sandwich spot, I swear it said angelas haha! Well, Amangela’s sandwich spot was freakn good. I felt healthy jus by eating there. The bread was delicious, the sandwich and potato salad was on lock. Jus a simple portion to get sumtn not too heavy in your tummy. Cute inside with some seating outside. Think you’ll like it. Conveniently close to shops and entertainment.

My sandwich was pretty delicious. But my boyfriends sandwich was bland, completely flavorless. So 3 stars for taste. The main issue we had was the price. We got 2 sandwiches and each of us paid $25!!! Insane!!! There is a reason they dont post prices on the board inside. We left feeling disappointed in the fact we blew almost $30 each on what you can get for $10 elsewhere. Absolutely insane.

Terrific breakfast and lunch spot, I love the bagel sandwiches! A bit in the pricier side but their breakfast sandwiches are the best I’ve ever had!

Food took close to an hour. Seems like regulars know it’s better to order take out. Not worth the wait. $6.75 for a bagel with cream cheese. $20 for a roast beef sandwich. It’s true not a lot of other good options, but the wait and service are terrible.

I’ve been coming to Amangela’s since they were in Fawnskin. My little and I just grabbed lunch, he got half a sandwich and no drink. I got half a sandwich and a cup of soup with a drink. $32 later. I realize they charge 3.99% if you use a card, which I did. But it’s absolutely WILD what we got for over 30 dollars! IT’S SANDWICHES. That’ll be the last time.
