Food was amazing! The cinnamon coffee left me wanting more!! Very authentic and the atmosphere is family friendly. I had to ask if it was family run. It is not but that manager was on point with helping out when needed. The staff always had a smile and made you feel welcomed. 12/10!!

Amanecer is hands-down one of the best breakfast spots we found in Wilmington. Their Mexican breakfast menu is authentic, flavorful, and full of heart. The cinnamon coffee was a standout—warm, aromatic, and absolutely delicious. We ordered the traditional chilaquiles, tri-color chilaquiles, huevos rancheros, and a California burrito. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The chilaquiles were perfectly sauced, the huevos rancheros had a rich, savory profile, and the burrito was stuffed and satisfying. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the service was friendly and fast. This place is a gem—we’ll definitely be back on our next visit to Wilmington!

This place is AWESOME!!! The cafe de olla (cinnamon coffee) is to die for and the birria tacos and fries are out of this world. I’m torn writting this review, because on one hand they deserve to have the world know how amazing the food is. On the other hand, I don’t want everyone to know about my secret spot lol. You will not make a mistake coming here, the food is better than every Mexican restaurant in town and the servers are the nicest!

Food was tasteful. I had the Breakfast Skillet which is basically fajitas with eggs. The rest of my group had the Chilaquiles Tricolor and they all loved it. They also had the coffee which smelled delightful and tasted wonderful, according to them. I had the orange juice and it was refreshing, however I don’t think it’s $7.99 refreshing, especially cause my glass was not filled like some of the other drinks served around me and there is no refill like with coffee. The restaurant is very clean and it has a warm and accomadating feel to it. Waiters are friendly and attentive. Dish was $16.75, but with the orange juice, tax and tip came out to almost $40 dollars. I do recommend this restaurant, except for the oj.

Outstanding food! Efficient, friendly service. Plenty of gluten free options. This is a great place for breakfast or brunch. Portions are the right size. Not too big so you come away over stuffed, but enough so you don’t leave hungry. The fries were cooked perfectly. They appear to be seasoned, but I couldn’t taste any seasoning (a plus for me).
Pretty busy place, but they have a lot of seating.
Highly recommend!
