Dined here on a Friday night – sat at the bar because it is open seating and currently reservations for the dining tables are hard to get as it is a small spot. Tried seven dishes and they were all great! Chef Tiffany came out and described and sold the food really well – her energy and passion are great and that is a really nice touch you can have in a smaller environment. The olive oil they provide with their bread has great flavor. We ordered the bada bing shrimp and the zucchini fritti for appetizers, both great – I love fried zucchini and these are nice thin “coins” so they get a good crisp. The bada bing shrimp seems to be essentially their version of the now popular spicy shrimp appetizers you can find at most restaurants, without the heavy saucing that normally accompanies those dishes.
We tried the spinach lasagna special with Béchamel as a second course and the flavor on it was wonderful and a nice riff on the classic lasagna. I would have enjoyed a touch more pomodoro for the bites that didn’t have as much of the wonderful Béchamel sauce, but regardless still a dish I would absolutely order again.
For our mains, we opted for the chicken Marsala and a special Italian pulled pork dish the chef was running that night. Marsala is one of my wife’s favorite Italian dishes and it was lights out – absolutely try it. The Italian pulled pork sandwich was great, it came with peppers and pickled red onion. I didn’t notice many peppers whereas there was a ton of onion on the sandwich and I asked the chef and she told me it was because some people had found it to be too spicy. All that to say, if you like spice and get a chance to try the dish maybe ask for extra peppers. The meat itself was juicy and full of flavor without being sauced and the ciabatta it was served on was delicious.
For dessert we opted for the panna cotta with macerated strawberries and the chocolate torte wtih “Italian frozen custard.” It’s been a long time since I had panna cotta and it’s probably not on the top of my lists after having it again but the bites with the strawberries were great. The torte was great, really nice texture contrast on that dish.
I tried the Amalfi spritz cocktail which was really nice and refreshing. Followed that up with an old fashioned off menu (they understandably are focused on Italian cocktails) and honestly it was better than many old fashioneds I’ve had around town. I wanted a second one with dessert but the cocktail menu mentioned a drink that was Italy’s favorite dessert drink. Drank pretty similar to a port in my opinion, it was a nice finish. My wife enjoyed a glass of wine.
Our bill came to $220 for all of this which in 2025 really isn’t bad. We concluded there was nothing we wouldn’t order again and that it was a great meal. We looked forward to returning and trying out some of the other pasta dishes.
If you’re still reading at this point just go ahead and make plans to check them out!

We went and it was wonderful! The bread was so good & the olive oil was great. We ordered their salad with the honey mustard vinegrette and it was great! I have a allergy & the chef came out to go over what I could have and how they could modify anything. I had the spicy vodka and it was a little too spicy for me but it was great if you like spicy! My husband got a pasta with sausage mushrooms & spinach & it was amazing!!! We also had wine which was delicious. For dessert we had the drunk nonna and it was great! We will be back!

My husband and myself have eaten around the world including almafi Italy! The food here was absolutely amazing! There was so much flavor in every dish! Make sure to ask for the fresh bread and olive oil made from 3 different olive trees! The pasta was freshly made. Best Italian food in Knoxville in my opinion!

The food amazing, the ambience top tier. Note this is for the grown and sexy. It’s a place where you enjoy great food, company and an amazing bottle of wine. No tag here just music and a vibe we don’t have in Knoxville. The chef will come and talk to you and take notes she listens. From the fresh bread with roasted garlic oil to the meatballs the joke that nonna is strapped to the oven cracks you up but the simplicity of the food makes you see that they are serious about the simple ingredients creating amazing dishes. I’ll be back and the cannoli cook was the perfect reminder the next day that I had a delicious meal.

Amalfi Ristorante Italiano delivered a solid dining experience. The food was pretty good overall flavorful and satisfying but the desserts left a bit to be desired and didn’t quite match the quality of the rest of the meal. What truly elevated the night was the bartender, who completely made up for what the food was missing. Their creativity, personality, and perfectly crafted drinks added an energy and charm that really stood out. With a little improvement on the dessert side, this place could easily hit five stars.

We loved going to Amalfi. The service was amazing. Our waitress was very attentive. Definitely start with an aperol spritz. The calamari was good and crispy. I loved the porcini ravioli special. Prices are high but the quality was good. We will be back for special occasions.

Tonight my husband and I had the most delicious meal at Amalfi. We had the complimentary zucchini chips and they were addictive. Then we had the fresh pasta with bolognese sauce which was just like what we had in Italy and the scampi. Both were delicious. The post dinner limoncello was the perfect after dinner drink. We will be back!
