Amalfi Enoteca Italiana is wonderful, the perfect dining experience, the courteous and attentive staff, the interactive owners, the lovely ambiance, the water view – I just can’t praise this place enough! A great family restaurant, a romantic hot spot, a great place to have a meal at the bar, and a great place to celebrate special occasions! My go-to in San Marcos!

Came to try the new menù, that now focus on smash burgers. They are really good. I had the Nine with the Chef sauce and french fries. The meat is spectacular, juicy and full of flavor. Fries are tasty and light! Service was very good and friendly. Strongly recommended.

Fantastic service. Olga was so great. She was running around and working so hard. Drinks and food were amazing and Olga was so sweet. Coming back soon even when we don’t golf! 5 stars

Absolutely love this great spot! My dear friend travels up for lunch with her pup almost weekly and we are always warmly greeted by the friendly staff. We have tried the salads and burgers and breakfast offerings for lunch and have always found everything very tasty and carefully prepared.

This is a wonderful place to host an event. We held a rehearsal dinner here on a Thursday night for our son’s upcoming wedding. My son and his bride chose this place and I’d never seen it. The photos don’t do it justice; the space is so nice, clean, and upscale, set on a golf course with a wraparound patio. We chose this over their larger restaurant because we were able to have a private party here, as opposed to being in a larger restaurant setting among other diners.
We had a buffet for 32 people and there was plenty of room. The food was truly delicious and beautifully presented, including a caprese salad with burrata, meatballs, a house salad, Rigatoni Bolognese, Beef in a red wine sauce, pesto penne, a chicken dish with smoked mozzarella in a cream sauce, a delicious eggplant parmigiana, veggies and potatoes, 4 different pizzas, and tiramisu and cannoli for dessert. To say we were stuffed is an understatement. All of the food was very, very good.
We then hosted a welcome party for an additional 30 or 40 people, with drinks and pizzas. Plenty of space with a good wine selection! They dimmed the lights for us and turned up the music and everyone had a great time!
Maybe the most outstanding thing is the staff and service. Excellent service with a smile and they went above and beyond to ensure our party was enjoyed by all.
Honestly, I can’t say enough good things about this place and highly recommend it if you are considering it for an event.

First time here and I’m impressed! The bartender asked me what flavors I liked and made me a custom cocktail — it was absolutely perfect. Loved the personal touch. The bar is small but super stylish. Great music, not too loud. 10/10 night.

Twice I have come to Enoteca and I was met with a closed restaurant despite talking to the manager directly before going there. The last time was truly problematic – I had an event planned there for 18 women. I had spoken to a shift manager, a waiter, the marketing manager, and the restaurant manager all through the week leading up to the event. My last call to them was the day before. I arrived at Enoteca before my event to get set up, and once again I was met with a locked door. No one had contacted me, despite the venue having confirmed all throughout week, and they had both my phone number and my email. I had 18 women enroute. I scrambled for 45 minutes and was rescued by the Marina Bar in the large Amalfi restaurant on Lake San Marcos, which I recommend highly.

I left a message for Enoteca, which they did not even bother to return. I saw the marketing manager at the Marina Bar and he didn’t even acknowledge me despite our speaking in person at Enoteca and our email exchanges.

My experience was overall underwhelming and food was disappointing. I give Amalfi and Enoteca Italiana 2 out of 5 stars because there are many things that can improve.
The restaurant can improve in several areas, such as, timeliness, food preparation, and customer service.
1) Timeliness. The restaurant opened over 1 hour later than advertised on the website, establishment sign, and menus.
2) Food preparation. There was no milk available for lattes. In addition, there was a long black hair in the breakfast burrito.
3) Customer service. I called 3 days in advance to make arrangements. The reservation was for a party of 5 on 5/19 @ 10:00am when the restaurant opened. When my party arrived we were all astounded by the dead silent atmosphere. After calling the restaurant there was still no response. Gil arrived around 10:30am and call the opener for the facility while my party and I waited. I relayed to Gil “My reservation was at 10:00am at Enoteca and I received a confirmation text on Saturday. Do we need to be going to a different restaurant for service and will my party be seated?” Gil suggested my reservation was for another restaurant. I proceeded to showed him the messages I received from Enoteca. The most recent message was sent at 10:50am saying the restaurant had canceled my reservation. Gil did not apologize and then blamed it on his staff calling out. By 11:30 my friends and I were sitting and we did not have our orders taken. Our server, Gillespie, informed us they were very busy last night and that led to the poor quality of service(opening late, lack of servers, lack of coffee service).
For the inconvenience, he comped 3 of the coffees and the burrito with the long black hair. When I received the bill, it was a total of $33 for a salmon lox sandwich, fries, and an omelet. My party and I agreed food, service, and management only made the experience worst.

Went for Jazz night last night. Unfortunately had a bad experience with the food. The small charcuterie platter that I loved at my last visit was no longer available. We both ordered $16 sandwiches instead. Bread was stale on both sandwiches. It’s very hard to eat stale bagels so we didn’t. Food took forever to come out. Table next to us claimed their food was inedible and did not want to pay for it. Unfortunately there was no manager to help any of us. The server was sweet and very apologetic. Said the restaurant was understaffed which made no sense since there was an event going on that night. It’s a shame since it’s a lovely little neighborhood place but hard to justify a $50 bill for bad food.
