Tried Amalfi for the first time on Valentine’s Day. They had a special menu for today. My girlfriend loved the raw oysters, and the pasta dish she had. I really enjoyed the salmon dish I had and the potatoes and asparagus were great as well. The complimentary bread was soft and went well with the extra virgin olive oil. The food I would give a solid 8,5 out of 19. The service was also exemplary. I will definitely be back to try other menu items such and the pistachio infused ravioli!

Came on a Wednesday night for dinner, was seated instantly. Menus arrived at the table soon as we sat down, was greeted instantly. It was our first time here and it was a great experience. Staff were all very welcoming, never had to ask for refill on water. Pasta was delicious and filled with flavor. We got the steak w side of fettuccine Alfredo pasta (very worth the substitute). The pork belly pasta was good as well, but didn’t have too much meat unfortunately. Overall, it was still very good. Crème Brûlée was my dessert of choice and it didn’t disappoint!

Perfect little gem with amazing food!
Some of the best Italian I’ve had in a long while. I had the pasta with seafood and my date had ravioli with truffle and braised beef, calamari for appetizer. Pasta is all fresh! Romantic atmosphere and excellent service. I can’t wait to go back!

We had a very nice anniversary dinner at Amalfi yesterday evening. Great service, all courses came out quickly and was so fresh. We were going to pass on desert, but I’m so glad we didn’t! The Pear Ricotta Cake was outstanding!

What a way to start 2025 – Happy New Year !!

This was our first time at Amalfi and it was great.

There are tables outside and inside, we enjoyed the inside. What a wonderful and inviting atmosphere. There was a little wait, but well worth it.

We started with some appetizers – the octopus was awesome, but the oysters were my favorite !!

We tried the fresh pasta – the ravioli and gnocchi were so fresh and absolutely delicious.

The veal was so good, I’m glad I picked that dish.

We ended with some coffee and assorted deserts, it was a very good selection.

The staff was so friendly and helpful.

We will be back – thank you !!

Amalfi Houston was a mixed experience for my family. To start, the bread did not arrive until we reminded our waiter. While he was attentive overall, he wasn’t particularly welcoming. However, the staff member who later came by to clear our plates completely redeemed this, he was very kind and pleasant.
The menu was also a bit difficult to understand. Maybe my family is newer to Italian cuisine, but clearer descriptions would have helped. My mother, who is vegetarian, also struggled to find satisfying vegetarian options, which was disappointing.
The tables were extremely close together, making it hard for us to hold our own conversation without feeling like we were part of the table next to us. For a fine-dining atmosphere, this took away from the experience.
As for the food, I don’t feel it was worth the price. The food was bland, My father’s chicken dish was dry, and my sister ordered the butternut squash and ricotta ravioli with lobster, and it contained the smallest pieces of lobster I have ever seen, especially underwhelming given the cost.
That said, the dessert was amazing and truly the highlight of the meal. It was the only part that felt completely worth it.
Overall, Amalfi Houston has some positives, but between the pricing, atmosphere, and menu limitations, I’d give it a 3 out of 5.

Amalfi Ristorante Italiano & Bar offers an elevated Italian dining experience in the Galleria area. The ambiance is elegant yet welcoming, making it suitable for both romantic dinners and special occasions. Their menu features a variety of dishes, with highlights including the Ravioli al Pistacchio con Taleggio e Tartufo and the Risotto al Porcini con Capesante. While the food is generally well-received, some diners have noted that the service can be slow during peak hours. Overall, Amalfi provides a memorable dining experience with its authentic Italian cuisine and refined atmosphere.

I’ve been here twice, and both times the food was delicious! The servers are ‘on point’ and take great care of you! The eggplant appetizer was wonderful, and the roasted chicken and veggies were very tasty! A different tasting sauce, but SO delicious! The entire team here is super-friendly. If you’re looking for a nice spot with white tablecloths, this is a great choice! (I tasted the sauce over the salmon and it was fabulous too!)

Situated in a street mall, Amalfi stands out aesthetically from their exterior. Their outdoor seating is also beautifully decorated with plants and flowers. The restaurant is not big, thus I would recommend making reservation.

I received great service today. My server was attentive and polite. I was spoilt for choice with their extensive menu. Warm bread was served promptly upon sitting.

I had the Risotto Del Mar Tirreno (I will always have risotto as long as the restaurant has it), which was delicious. The ingredients were fresh, and the dish was cooked perfectly. I also had the Tagliatelle Al Manzo E Porcini, which was good, just a little too salty for me. I had the Tort A Caprese Con Gelato Al Pistachio. The pistachio gelato had strong pistachio taste. It was super good. The chocolate and almond cake was rich and was chocolatey.

They have a station where kids are welcome to make their own pizzas. Wonderful idea!

There are two designated parking spots in front of the restaurant for Amalfi’s customers. There is also a big and free parking lot for patrons too.

A friend recommended Amalfi. He was correct. The menu is fantastic inclusive of many items not available at other restaurants. It’s good to have new choices at an Italian Restaurant. From the appetizers to the Cuban dessert we selected we were very happy. Nice restrooms with sensor faucets that actually work without turning on and off as you wash your hands. The atmosphere and personality of staff was superb.
