Tried out this place after looking at their jollof rice pictures. The jollof was spicy and the chicken was also yummy. I personally don’t like when chicken skin is left on and that is my preference. Goat pepper soup was also spicy and it tastes gamier than I’m used to with goat meat. The seafood okra was nice and had a half crab, shrimp and a couple pieces of fish in it – loads of okra in it and slimy!
I wanted to try other kinds of Nigerian food and it seems I am more tame in the kinds of food I like – the jollof and chicken were my favorite and the pepper soup and seafood okra were things I enjoyed trying but don’t think I will be getting again.

The customer service was impeccable. Everyone was so kind, welcoming, helpful, friendly, fast, professional, patient and very clean. Great atmosphere! Friendly faces! Loved the food! I tried the jollof rice with the beef and the egusi soup with chicken. By the tine I got there the goat meat was sold out so try to get there earlier if you can! I have had this order before at a few different places and they definitely did a spectacular job here. I cannot wait to go back and try more! Very glad I got to experience such a flavorful and filling meal!

This place has variety of foods but they failed to list all the food allergens in their food. And also the prices for food is a bit too high compared to other African food places, customer service could be better too. Food tastes good every time I tried this place. My last order was semo and Oha soup as you can see in the picture it was made fresh yet could have been better esp on price

It completely tastes African. It’s spicy and delicious. It is well seasoned, and the service was great, they were very nice and friendly. it made me feel home again. The atmosphere is great, and the color is very calming, They made sure I was satisfied with my order. Each plate is $20 or less. Am definitely coming back again. This is gonna be my number one African restaurant to recommend to anyone who wanna try African food

This is rubbish, how do I order ofada and you send me this nonsense, only chicken and egg inside ayamase? even the chicken is bone.
Not to talk of how horrible it tastes, God will help me to punish you people. Eyin ole buruku.
If I was present in your store would you have sold me this rubbish? It’s not you people’s fault.
The beans is horrible, not well cooked and salty, all the food is salty. The presentation is horrible. It wouldn’t kill you if you put the beans sauce separately.
Give people the worth of what you’re charging for. Rather sell what you know how to cook than sell rubbish.
As a Nigerian I’m tired of ordering nonsense food from you food vendors, you freaking need to do better. You put normal stew ontop of beans and you call it ewa agoyin. Rubbish

My experience today was great even though my food was delayed but the lady (owner) was so nice and sweet. She took in my criticism and worked on it and showed appreciation and I would love if they have bathroom in there especially since they’ve got dining area. Just my opinion. Overall service was excellent and I’m glad they finally got a new employee.

This is horrible smell like pedigree dog food and the taste is pedigree plus. The turkey so rubbery and the fish was so small I’m sorry but this is not it! I will continue to go to Abundance in calumet city. And it’s not even spicy ugh

I love Amala she has the best customer service ever and her team is very helpful. Not many workers but they get to you as soon as they can and polite. The food is great however, they must have changed the spices it went from tolerable to extremely hot and honestly that’s the only complaint I have.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I have been waiting to try this place for months and I was not disappointed! The owner is awesome. She walked me through ordering a delicious meal that was satisfying and flavorful! The jollof rice was OUTSTANDING! It reminded me of when my father used to prepare it when I was a kid. Very Authentic! I also ordered the ogusi soup with fish and plantain! Everything was delightful! The customer service was excellent as well making my experience very pleasant. I can’t wait to come back and try some different items.

Don’t go here they charge for everything separate. So if you want meat it’s 5-7$ a piece (very small piece) if uou want the egusi soup 15$(just egusi soup- no meat) now u want the fufu or pounded yam it’s about 6$. THIS IS NOT HOW YOU SELL FOOD. THEY DONT HAVE A MEAL WHERE YOU CAN GET ALL THREE ITEMS FOR A REASONABLE PRICE. GO GOWN THE STREET SOMEWHERE ELSE THAT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER. BTW FOOD NOT FRESH REVIEWS COME FROM PEOPLE THAT THEY KNOW. I LIVE ACROSS THE STREET FROM THIS PLACE AND NO ONE IS EVER HERE BUYING.
