Overall an average experience of 4/10. Do not recommend. Some really good standout dishes but the experience itself was pretty awful.

The service was horrendous. We had a 7:15 reservation and the hostess sat us with 1 single drink menu (there were 2 of us). We asked another hostess for a DINNER menu. She said ok. Proceeded to walk away and then pass our table again without a menu. Then I caught a waiter and asked for a menu and he said we can’t have one because of where we are sitting. Then I asked another passing serving for a menu and he said I have one. I said no this is a drink menu (who TF designs a restaurant where the drink menus and food menus are exactly the same?! Horrible design). Everyone around us is getting menus…finally another hostess said she’s sorry , we were placed in the bar section for dinner because the are at capacity (even though we had reservation ??) and the bar waiters were confused so they said they can’t serve us… once that was all straightened out the service was pretty decent but nothing to write home about)

Fattoush salad: 5/10, nothing special. quite small
Sampler of—
Baba ghanoush: 11/10
Labneh: 6/10, leaned too heavily on garlic
Hummus: 7/10, good and basic
Pistachio kebab: 8.5/10, one of the better kebabs but really needed some kind of sauce even as an accent…
Branzino: 10/10, this and the baba were the standouts on the menu
Knafeh: 5/10, they tried to make it soemthing it’s not and as a result the pastry part tasted like a sponge soaked in honey

Great ambiance, a little loud and busy as a wedding reception was going on upstairs. But our dinner was fabulous with a great wine suggested by the sommelier. We had the cauliflower appetizer (the sauce was delicious), the kibbeh, then shared the lamb and beef kebabs. Everything was delicious, the kebabs could have been a little juicer but still great! For dessert we tried the baklava and mastika ice cream. The baklava was better IMO but both great options! Makes a great date night spot!

The three of us had a reservation at this restaurant, and the experience was a bit mixed. When we first arrived, they had our friend sit at the bar instead of seating him, which felt odd since he had clearly stated we were just parking at this busy street.

Once we did get a table, it ended up being wobbly. The hostess noticed it but didn’t do anything, so we eventually had to ask to be moved.

Service overall felt a little slow. When my friend asked for a Coke, it took about ten minutes to come out. This is understandable since it may be busy at dinner, but it still stood out.

The food itself was a completely different story. I ordered the black cod with veggies, and it was honestly amazing. Probably the best I’ve ever had. The portion was about what you’d expect, everything was served hot, and the flavors were perfect.

So overall, the food was fantastic, but the service and seating experience just didn’t match it. Because of that, I won’t come back, but I can say the meal itself was great.

My girlfriend brought me here for my birthday brunch and I had a delicious and memorable experience. Our server Sarah J. was fantastic. The food was delicious and authentic. The live music was a nice touch and not loud enough to drown out conversation. Please come hungry because there are a lot of options to eat for a great price. The cocktails were also beautiful and tasty. I recommend this restaurant 100%.

My partner and I celebrated Valentine’s Day at Amal in Coconut Grove, and wow—what a magical evening! From the moment we walked into that stunning, vibrant space with its warm Lebanese vibes and glowing lanterns, we knew we were in for something special. The Valentine’s prix-fixe menu was a total highlight, perfectly curated and full of bold, fresh flavors that felt like a love letter to the Mediterranean.

We kicked things off with the Beets Janus appetizer, and let me tell you—it was amazing. Earthy, sweet beets elevated with just the right touch of tangy labneh and crunch—pure perfection and such a unique way to start. For our mains, we split the juicy lamb chops (tender, herby, and grilled to smoky perfection with that red pepper relish) and the flaky Chilean sea bass (so light yet packed with flavor, swimming in a vibrant sauce). Every bite had us smiling and saying “this is why we love Miami dining.”

Dessert sealed the deal with a rich chocolate cake that was moist, decadent, and not overly sweet—just the indulgent finish we craved.

Huge shoutout to our server, Burak, who was an absolute rockstar. He was warm, attentive, and made personalized recommendations that elevated the whole experience. He even shared a few fun stories about the dishes, making us feel like VIPs on date night.

Amal nailed the romantic, lively atmosphere without feeling stuffy—perfect for a special night in the Grove. If you’re in Miami and want exceptional Lebanese food with top-tier service, book this place yesterday. We’ll definitely be back (and probably for brunch next)!

Im still thinking about the food from here. The octopus was the best I’ve had in Miami by far. The truffle rakakat and minced lamb skewer was also delicious. The date cake dessert was the Perfect ending. Our waiter was courteous and made great food recommendations. Definitely will be going back.

I had an absolutely incredible experience at Amal, and I can confidently say it’s the best Lebanese restaurant I’ve ever been to. The food was real, authentic Lebanese cuisine: rich, bold, and extremely flavorful. Every single dish I tried was a 10/10. You can truly taste the quality, care, and tradition in each bite.

The service was just as impressive as the food. Our server Burak was amazing. He was warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive. The entire service team was on point the whole night: our table was always spotless, water glasses never empty, and cutlery was replaced quickly and efficiently without us ever having to ask. That level of attentiveness really elevated the experience.

From the atmosphere to the food to the service, Amal delivered on every level. This has officially become my new go-to fancy restaurant spot in Miami, and I cannot wait to come back. Highly, highly recommend. ✨

AMAL in Coconut Grove delivers a beautifully executed dining experience that feels vibrant, welcoming, and thoughtfully curated from start to finish. The space is stunning, warm, modern, and elegant without trying too hard, and the atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between lively and intimate. PLUS, they were very pet friendly. The food is consistently flavorful, with dishes that showcase bright, fresh ingredients and a clear attention to detail, and everything arrives beautifully presented. Service is polished and friendly, adding to the overall sense of ease and hospitality. Combined with its prime location and stylish setting, AMAL is one of those rare restaurants where the energy, design, and food all complement each other effortlessly, making it an easy place to recommend and an even easier one to return to. In fact we did, brunch the next day was out of this world.

Our dinner at Amal was absolutely exceptional! Our server Andres was amazing—warm, attentive, and spot-on with his recommendations. He anticipated every need and kept the evening flowing perfectly, making the whole experience feel seamless and special.

We tried the Miami Spice menu, and it’s an unbeatable deal at just $45. The portions are impressively generous and the quality is spectacular—truly worth every penny. To start, we enjoyed the hummus, kibbeh, and roasted cauliflower, each dish bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. For mains, we ordered the steak, lamb, and cod, all cooked to perfection and packed with rich, Mediterranean flavors. Dessert was the perfect finale with the baklava, date cake, and creamy ice cream—every bite was indulgent and memorable.

The restaurant itself is stunning, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that matches the incredible food and service. Amal is a 10/10 experience from start to finish, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. We will definitely be back soon, especially to try their lunch menu. If you visit, ask for Andres—he’ll make sure you have an unforgettable dining experience!

A very nice ambience at this modern Lebanese resturant. We ordered too many dishes thinking that their portions would be small. My fav was the falafel which was very tasty. The combo dips was too big a portion. Also enjoyed the crispy eggplant and zucchini with a sweet yogurt sauce. The grilled veggie skewer was so so! Very friendly staff.
