Ama raw bar continues to be my go to for oysters! Their happy hour never misses. Me and my friends always get 2 dozen oysters (their sauces are next level), crispy rice tuna bites, miso cod cakes, and mussels with nori fries. Their drinks are also really good- I always go for their mocktails. If you like Asian inspired flavors, fresh oysters, and great service, you can’t go wrong here.

We were there for happy hour. The service was good, so were the drinks. The food was okay, like the last place I went to, the happy hour food looked better on paper. The atmosphere is fine, the place is open and comfortable but doesn’t absorb sound that well. We sat by the window so it was fine. If your idea of happy hour is mostly drinks then this is a nice place to be.

I went to Ama with my wife for happy hour. They have a short but solid wine list with a good variety. The oysters were fresh and the shrimp was delicious. There is a two dozen per person limit on the oysters during happy hour. Timmy was a great server. I would return and dine here again if the opportunity arose.

ama raw bar has some great options for their happy hour. the oysters – both varieties – were affordable and tasted really good. i also appreciated the variety of sauces that they provided. the bao and taco were yummy too!

the lychee martini and mezcal palawan (with jalapeño) were both very good. the martini was super strong.

I had a party at Ama’s back room and then stayed for dinner with a lot of people – the staff from start to finish was INCREDIBLE. Freddie, our waiter, and Carly (who helped us coordinate the party) were truly the best. We never waited long for food or drinks, they accommodated every change we made – they rocked. Food and drinks were amazing too. Would 10000% have another event here. Best team!!!!

My husband and I always choose this restaurant for our special occasions, and once again, it exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, Austin, our server, made the experience unforgettable. He was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and offered great recommendations. His warm and friendly service truly added a personal touch to our celebration.

We were also impressed by Carly, the general manager, who stopped by our table to ensure everything was perfect. Her professionalism and genuine care for the guests really stood out. It’s clear she takes pride in creating an exceptional dining experience.

With outstanding service from both Austin and Carly, we’ll continue to return for all of our future celebrations. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and even better service!

I frequently go to the West Village location and this location is fantastic! The menu has mostly the same items but a few are different and I like the variety. The best part is they have a fantastic mussels, wine, and oyster special on Mondays and Wednesdays from open to close. The service is great and will definitely be back!

Great oyster happy hour! We made a reservation, which I would recommend otherwise getting a table on a Saturday night as a walking is hard.
Our favorites were:
– Miso Glazed Salmon
– oysters
– shrimp appetizer (I forgot the name but we liked it so much we got a Sedona order)
– the lobster bao bun was great
– angry muscles were also interesting, especially if you are a kimchi fan

We were celebrating my moms birthday and the staff surprised us with mochi and a candle, I didn’t even ask for it.

Overall highly recommend, 100% worth the trek if you are not in the neighborhood.

The tuna and salmon melted in your mouth and were the highlight of the meal for me. The appetizers and fries were my favorite part

The lobster bao buns were light and buttery, pretty good overall

We had mussels and salmon as an entree which were also good but the appetizers stole the show. This was the first time I had bok choy and it’s definitely something I’ll be eating again!

Espresso martinis weren’t my favorite but my preference is something a little bit sweeter

Overall great experience and I’ll be sure to stop by again for their happy hour!

Really affordable, incredibly fresh-tasting oysters at a happy hour price of just $1.25. The staff is genuinely warm, and the whole atmosphere is fun, relaxed, and refreshingly unpretentious.

The only drawback was the shucking: most oysters arrived with quite a bit of shell debris and were mangled on the half shell. For a raw bar, we expected a little more finesse (no one likes to bite and pick out shell fragments, haha), though it may have simply been an inexperienced shucker on duty that day.

Even so, the quality, value, and overall vibe more than make up for it. We’ll absolutely be back. Still a five-star spot in our book.
