We are driving from Texas to Colorado, this is a new route for us and first time coming through Lamar. I am so glad I found this place to go and have breakfast. Service was great, everyone is friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and really enjoyed their home made chorizo. Would recommend and would definitely come back if I am passing by.

An absolutely wonderful restaurant. Wonderful family atmosphere run by an wonderful family. All there food is fresh and handmade including the sausage. As you can see I had the biscuits and sausage gravey platter, I ate the eggs and took half of the rest home. The biscuits were huge, light, and fluffy. Spoke with one of the owners and he said his wife makes everything fresh from scratch wish all fresh ingredients and you can taste the love.. He also said one of the signature dishes is Chicken fried steak, they hand pound the steak, bread it and fry it and it is as big as the plate.
If you are traveling in a camper or a big rig you can park either on the side street or on the street behind the restaurant. The long rig parking is in the second to the last photo.
When you are looking for this place look for the flags that say BREAKFAST, this is literally an old house facing Main St.

Fantastic food and friendly service! We’ll definitely stop by again when we’re in the area. My husband loved the chicken fried chicken, and the Mexican BLT was excellent — though be warned, the jalapeño packs some real heat! The owner knows many of the regulars, which gives the place a warm, welcoming, homey feel. Highly recommended.

Awesome little place to stop for amazing breakfast! They make their own sausage in house. The biscuits are so soft and buttery. Everything is top quality. Great eggs, bacon, & coffee. We will be stopping in again. Everything looked so good we forgot to take a picture before we started eating. On top of the amazing food, the service was top notch. They were very busy, but still remained attentive & courteous. It’s also cutesy with the decorations they have around. Stop in to experience for yourself.

Family owned and operated a hundred times better than any chain.

Absolutely excellent!!! We got the huevos rancheros with chorizo, which was spicy perfect! The chorizo especially with the green salsa was so good! We also got the eggy bread with blueberries, it was cooked to perfection. Fluffy, and they did not skimp on the blueberries. So glad we stopped here on our road trip! Definitely take the time to try breakfast at this little local gem!

What a wonderful experience from start to finish. The service was excellent and every staff member was genuinely friendly and welcoming. I even had the chance to meet the owners, who shared their vision and the care they put into how they run the restaurant—and it truly shows.
I ordered breakfast and had the 55+ meal with French toast, sausage, and an egg. Everything was delicious. The egg was cooked perfectly, and the homemade sausage was outstanding—so flavorful and clearly made with care.
I travel for work, and it can be hard to find a restaurant that really stands out, but this one absolutely did. I truly enjoyed my time here and will definitely be back again while in the area.

Super cute breakfast place! Friendly staff with fresh made food. The green chili sauce on the House Omelette was fantastic! Good biscuit with decent gravy. Blueberry Eggy Bread was good with a sauce reminiscent of a strudel. Slightly more expensive overall than I was expecting (granted, we got nice big glasses of orange juice and I didn’t look at the price first), but happy to support a small local business providing food from scratch.
