On to the food we go…….
Huevos Celosos … $5.99. 8/10
2 eggs, any style, covered with green and red sauce, served with beans, home fries, and tortillas
This was a perfect breakfast choice, everything on the plate was excellent. Had my eggs over easy, the red sauce was slightly sweet and the green sauce was tangy as it should be . The potatoes were cooked perfectly and the refried beens were on point. The tortillas are not homemade but they served their purpose. They were actually better than some homemade tortillas.
Chips and Salsa. $2.99. 6/10
Thy are available during breakfast for a few dollars extra. The salsa was tasty with just a bit of spice , the chips were thin and crispy.
This is a simple Mexican diner serving up some great food at a great price. I will definitely be back to try out more of the menu. The customer service, food quality and location are all perfect. Stop in and give them a try.
Definitely a keeper!!!
Prices are very reasonable too.
This is now our go-to for Tex-Mex breakfast!
I’ll start by saying the service was fantastic! Waitresses were all attentive and very teamwork-oriented, helping each other out at various tables and checking in with patrons.
The food was a little less satisfying, however. The ranchero sauce on the eggs tasted somewhat “artificial” (perhaps store-bought), and the beans were lacking flavor. The chorizo and egg was a big disappointment. The sausage (chorizo) had an odd smell, which is the same scent I’ve picked up at other small Mexican restaurants, where I’m guessing is just a lesser quality chorizo.
The service really helped offset the lack in food quality, and I will be back for a second try, options for other dishes to taste- perhaps lunchtime!
