We arrived on a 7pm, sat night. It took the food a straight hour since ordering to arrive and the medium size fries (almost $12!) were cold. The burgers were good but the buffalo chicken salad was mediocre. The waitress was sweet and the place is nice

In Altoona for work and dropped in. Awesome beer selection and great service from Ethan behind the bar. Shared one of the cheesesteaks with my coworker and it was delicious! (crispy/soft bun, cheese mixed in with the steak just like they do in Philly).

We stopped here bc of Google reviews. We were passing through Altoona and decided to check it out. It’s definitely worth it. It has a great atmosphere and the staff are all fantastic. You don’t just have one server… they all come to your table and they’re very attentive. The food was good and the portions are huge. Prices are also good. Check it out!

As we were headed through Altoona during dinner time, we decided to find a place to stop and eat. We made a great choice with Al’s Tavern. The wood panel walls and framed vintage posters give it a retro vibe. The food was really good. We split a Baked Ham and Cheese sub and a large order of fried. I didn’t love all of the lettuce and dressing on the sandwich but it was good enough that I would order it again. We appreciated that all of the wait staff shared responsibility for taking care of us, making sure our drinks were filled and we were happy. We are planning to stop again next time we are in the area.

This place is fantastic!!!! My husband and I have been traveling, and this is by far the best meal we’ve had! There is a reason the wings are award winning, and the sandwiches are amazing. We ordered the bada boom and the Al’s hooter sandwich. Both absolutely fantastic. The bartender was awesome as well. The beer selection is great too, and we loved ‘have a nice day damnit’ IPA. You must try this place!!!

Food was really good. The wings were phenomenal. We got the 2 alarm sauce and it was really good. I cannot wait to go back and try the 3 alarm. Pizza was really good as well. We did get some chili, that was a little too watery, I prefer a thicker chili. I tried their house IPA which was really good as well. I took a star off for the price. The service was really good and our experience was really good as well. My wife and I cannot wait to go back.

Vintage tavern, blast from the past circa 1962. Lots of draft beer selections, the garlic wings are phenomenal but you have to get 12 and I was by myself. I took six home. The bar area is separate from the family dining area which is great if you have younger people with you.

I went here based on a recommendation of the wings. I had the wings and an Altoona style pizza. The wings were big and cooked perfectly. The Altoona Style pizza was unique. Had a great bartender and the draft selection was great. I’d definitely return.
