Went on a date night with the wife on Valentines Night to check out the Valentines Day Menu. My wife got the Lobster Tail and Filet Mignon she switched the 8 ounce filet to a 10 ounce. I got the Rack of Lamb. It took them close to 45 minutes to bring out our food and they were literally serving people that ordered after us, the owner walked around table to table talking and greeting everyone but us, I mean literally everyone, he walked up looked at me and proceeded to greet the table next to us. When our food finally came out, the Steak and Lobster was very bland, my Rack of Lamb was very tough and very under cooked with blood coming out the middle. The calamari and double baked potatos was very good. The rolls was hard and the salads was watery. For $240.00 I should’ve went to a real steak house like Mastro’s, Morton’s or Gibson’s! The lady at the front desk that checked us in was a sweetheart very nice ray of sunshine, but besides that it was a Valentines Day Disaster. I wish that I had the option to upload photos. file:///var/mobile/Library/SMS/Attachments/74/04/02457DEF-EFA6-4208-AF11-D7A08DA668BC/IMG_5759.HEIC

This place has grown on me. The atmosphere is Godfatherish, but in a good way because it’s also inviting for the family.

The food is genuinely good, and the service is top notch.

Food order took a bit to come, but when it arrives it’s fresh and hot and you know it hasn’t been sitting under a warming light in back.

I like this place!

We went there on 11/3 and we had a large group of 25 people. Our servers Sheila and Dan were awesome. Food tasted great. I had the New York Steak it was cooked to perfection, and the baked potato was delicious. The manager/ hostess Kim was very accommodating and a delight to deal with. I would highly recommend.

I’m assuming the issue was due to a large group in the back area. My party of 6 got seated at a 4 person booth with 2 chairs put in the aisle. Drinks took close to 20 minutes to arrive. 10 minutes later the salads came. Then there was a little over an hour wait for our meals with no expectations as to the delay. 1 steak ordered medium rare arrived over cooked. Oddly, it’s replacement came out in about 3 minutes. Otherwise, the food was delicious.

No more Sunday brunch, they got rid of it after the covid pandemic.
The steaks and the service is still top notch.
I highly recommend the porterhouse steak, prime rib and the calamari.

I went there for Sunday brunch and I was pleasantly surprised. What an awesome old school service and unbelievable buffet, priced just right for the amount and quality of food. The drinks are not included in the price of the buffet, but I think it’s still a good deal. The management and wait staff are super friendly and provide you with superior service that you just don’t get at those chain restaurants, to me this is like a “Supper Club”. I can’t wait to come back and try the Friday seafood buffet and the rest of their menu.

We have 2 family members who are gluten free and 1who is dairy and gluten free. Her salad had 2 small slices of cucumber and tomato. The rest was just a pile of lettuce. The menu left very few options for these allergies. The chopped steak that was ordered was dried out and very difficult to swallow. Unfortunately the baked potato didnt have any non dairy options instead of butter. My wife took several bites and didnt eat anymore. Although they deleted her meal from the total it was a terrible experience for her. We were assured by the mgr that we would be accommodated for the food allergy. That didnt happen. Also the waitress was getting rude over the back and forth to the kitchen because of the need for an gluten dairy free meal.

Been to Als a few times now, the ambiance is that of an old school steakhouse. We’ve always had good service, friendly and prompt. Soup and salad with entrees is nice and the warm rolls are quite good. As far as the food, its average. Greek potatoes are good as well as the twice baked potatoes. Both steaks I’ve had are bland and overpriced. Chicken Marsala was dry and the sauce thick. I will say that the Athenian chicken was very good. We will come back to try some more but in my opinion, I wouldn’t go for the steak.
