Creepy Uncle Dave
Creepy Uncle Dave here. This place never disappoints. I’ve been here many times but this was the first time I’ve been here for diner. This is not a white tablecloth establishment but it definitely gives you a homey feel. My boss once said that the best way to keep employees coming to work is to make them feel at home. I said to him that if he wanted me to feel at home he would need to pay me more. So I call out the sick the rest of the week. It felt like the right thing to do at the time. Anyway, I ordered cup of chicken soup that hit the spot on this chilly fall evening and the Al’s Chicken Sandwich with fries, coleslaw and a pickle. Gotta have the pickle! I definitely enjoyed this sandwich. It was a piece of fried chicken coated in buffalo sauce topped with lettuce and blue cheese dressing all served on a sub roll. That would be a hero for the transplants reading this. The whole time I was there the waiter was friendly and welcoming. This quality is lost in a lot of the big chain restaurants. I will definitely be back to try one of their taco dishes and admire the Velvet Elvis hanging on the wall. I like this place and think you will too. Tell them I sent you!

Al’s luncheonette is one of my favorite food spots in the area. They have amazing options to choose from! I usually get a skillet which always comes out tasty and fresh. Every breakfast option is very tasty. The staff are super friendly and quick. I’ll definitely be there again soon!

This place has the most friendly and warm and welcoming server. They are lucky to have her. We had an omlette and a hamburger and both were good. My coffee was refilled without me having to ask. Nice place.

Excellent service and friendly staff.
Kids loved the chocolate pancakes. The chicken fajita omelette was a little bland for my taste.

I’ve been taking my kids to Al’s on our Saturday breakfasts together for years… The food is great and the people at Al’s are wonderful.

First time here. Nice place, very unexpectedly found great food and great service with good prices!
Tables outside in the shade. I had Al’s Salad – a good size and the salmon was good. My friend has a sandwich with fries and she like it too. Iced coffee with free refills! That was good as well.
If I’m in the area again, I’d certainly eat here again.

The staff was lovely. The Huevos Rancheros were fabulous. Add Al’s special hot sauce if you like a little spice. I was hesitant to order them given I grew up with authentic Mexican food. Al’s is spot on. Will be back next time we are passing through.

Al’s Luncheonette in the Yorktowne Center in Manalapan is one of those neighborhood places that you just like to keep coming back to. The food is always prepared as you ordered it; the service is always friendly and efficient; and you are certain to get a solid value for your expenditure.

The wait staff is excellent. Food is average. Atmosphere is small town, which is like. The menu options are varied with many fish specials the day we went. We didn’t order them but probably good as they were specials. My recommendation is for diner style breakfast or an easy lunch. Located next to fitness facility so be prepared to see gym rats or rehab patrons. Local small town eatery is good for what they represent.

I stood there and was only greeted once without being told how long a wait for a table.
The waitress cleaned a table off and gave it to a family who walked in ten minutes after I had been waiting.
Wish I could comment on the food ♂️
