Some of the best food in the county! We’re from CT and visit annually and Al’s diner is a frequent stop while visiting! Nothing compares! Best poutine, sweet waitresses, amazing desserts, awesome seafood. 5/5!

Our family loves Al’s diner, food is great, girls are always nice. I highly recommend to visit, you definitely will come to eat there if you prefer homemade food instead of fast food.

Mars Hill, Maine —-
“Al’s Diner” has been serving up meals & smiles to locals and tourists since 1937.
The “super-smilin’-servers” are a big reason “Al’s Diner” is a “Run-A-Way Bill” Favorite eatery, but good quality food for a fair price is right up there too.
Their fresh baked bread & desert selections has no competition.

I had shepherd’s pie my partner had a burger it was enormous and delicious and the fries were cooked as requested the shepherd’s pie was very good it was a cute little diner. We will definitely go here again.

Every trip to Maine I’ve had a meal there. Exactly the charm you’d expect in a one light town, staff is always pleasant and serves you with a smile, food is good…hope if it does sell they keep it a diner.

I’ve been going to Al’s off andon for 30 years now, it’s a northern Maine landmark. The current iteration is as good as any of them. Good food, served quickly at a reasonable price. I particularly like that they’re open on Sundays, driving south on a Sunday there is pretty much nothing but fast food from Presque Isle to Old Town.

The Service and the food excellent. This is a prime example of a Mars Hill hidden Gem. No glitter outside to draw you in. A true word of mouth Blessing in a Quaint old fashioned diner setting with jars of 6 inch cookies adorning the counter. What’s not to love. Worth you time, bring you best appetite as the portions are large.
Bon appetite!
